Thanks buddy. I overlooked the white petal when composing as I was too focused on getting the focus right.

Set up: Single thick white towel as the backdrop and bottom, flash from right in full power, 1 feet from the subject, slightly angled to bounce off the backdrop. I didnt want the bottom reflection, may be I should try a black granite to avoid this ?
HW, will a soft box improve this image ?

Soft box might or might not improve the image. I'd suggest you to bounce the light off the background only and do not illuminate the front part as you will get some flat lighting and specular reflection. Softbox might work nice when you have a textured background and when you want to light a darker glass like wine bottle. Rudraji might be able to help us with this one.

Thanks for the link, there are some lovely photographs on it already.

Don't know how many of you like bleach bypass in post processing, I tried my hand on it and kinda like it so far. What do you guys think?

I will try different settings in the coming experiments, want to use whatever is available in the house for the learning purpose. I like bleach bypass, had posted couple of shots here a week back if I remember. Here is one attempt on the same, this rose was 2 floors below me in someone's balcony, so the crispy details are missing.

Awesome shots Clevermax and Shaju. I like the lighting in both pics. It looks like an ad pic.

Welcome back brother. How have you been?

Needless to say, the composition looks cool. Especially the reflection on the sun-glass.

I know nothing about post-processing. But the picture looks attractive to me. Beautifully composed HW.

I love the colors there.

Here is one from me :

Camera Used : Sony Cybershot DSC W35
Location : Somewhere near the Kuttiyadi Dam, Wayanad - Kerala
Software Used : Picasa 3.0

PS : Someone told me that it's a rare breed. But, I have no idea on the same. Can anyone throw some light on this?

As usual comments and criticism are welcome

Amazing shottt... superb. Source of light is on the opposite side, still you took it well without disturbing the inside light.

Thanks Pawan.

Pramod,
That's one heck of a shot. Other than the small part where the left most horse's leg gets cut, I love everything about it.

@Klub: Yes, as suggested, move to a DSLR
@HW: Nice mood you created in that image (Reminisce). I guess it need to be straightened a little bit (CCW)

@pawan: You took this from the Olypic Centrum? Didn't you climb that tall tower to get a wider shot of the city?

@pramod: Nice. Shape of the clouds look very unusual
@TG: Dreamy picture!
