Thanks CD. I already started my experiments but my model is a busy body to freeze a well composed shot .

If you ever think he will stay calm for your shoots in the next 5 years, you will be greatly disappointed . There is only one 'mantra' in front of kids:
"Higher ISO and Higher shutter speed". Try 1/60 if you have a flash or 1/125 to begin with.

Nice.

I'm heading back to Chennai tomorrow, so one last shot of the kitten. This one being my favourite of the 4! It allowed me to get so close the focal length is just 28 (and cropped a bit), you can almost spot me in those eyes.

@#1#
Pigeon Point Lighthouse on the Pacific Coast Highway
About a 1000 photographers with high end equipment had come to shoot this spectacle where they light the original light of this lighthouse once every year!
The beams are visible 'cause of a huge Fresnel lens in front of the light

Yes. I remember you quoted me this Manthra last time. I havent played much with ISO unless its a night shot or dark weather. Thanks for reminding, its time I have to grow up.

From a collection of around 1000 edited images, repeating the wall paper is a rare chance as it keeps increasing each week ! Learning is fun.

@Meghan
A longer exposure would have surely helped...nice one though.

The zoom blur is in-camera, not a pp effect. Black and white conversion is the only processing done here.

Regards,
TG.

This is 15 sec exposure at f/4.5 and iso 400 taken with a canon 400d and a tripod

@TG - thanks, a longer exposure maybe would have helped, but was limited by not having remote release. I did try 30 sec though but preferred this one over that.
A friend clicking with his d700 got much better compositions as he could click at iso800 almost without noise and could finish one shot in <10sec
Your shots are always awesome and a treat to see on flickr.
Are you a professional or do it as a hobby?
