v&v, first flower was too good with those water droplets !

Stratos, lot of noise in the background. Is D90 on auto-ISO ?

Trying to do some experiments on strobes. Got bored of my signature too

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

@v&v, theBeast:
Lovely flower pictures. Were these taken in a low light?

@Nutty:
Hey, I have similar pictures similar to yours. I cannot see the shacks though.

@Shaju:
Cute kid and lovely framing.

@Robi:
You love the wild a lot I can see.

@cruiser:
Lovely concert snap. I do not know if the softness and slight blur is deliberate, but the effect is lovely.

Took a trip to the marshes besides the Eastern Express Highway and after carefully avoiding the human waste and getting as close as I could, took a few shots of Great Egrets. At least I think that these are Great Egrets. Also, in other unrelated news, the Coppersmith Barbet which I had the pleasure shooting weekend before last has been named the 'Bird of Mumbai'. Not the picture, the bird. Hope more awareness is raised amongst the people of Mumbai that there is much that needs to be preserved.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

@typeOnegative I wanted to have a sharp focus on the singer, but had a hard time focusing in all the movement happening in the concert, the band is Jal, so you can imagine. Thanks.

Here are some more images from the 50mm.

Thanks, these one one of many shots which came out really good.

@akp , i think if you try with your stock 18-55 , it should give better result as you can go closer than the 50mm prime.

Another flower

I'm missing the sharpness in this pic (DOF).
Though you have focused on Bee, Bee & flower both are slightly out of Focus

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

@sushruta:
I think it is because the image has been cropped.

Unfortunately, I do not have the 18-55, and have no plans of getting it either. Only other lens I have is an all-purpose travel lens 18-200.

That's right, it is a 1200x1100 (approx) crop from a 4752x3168 image. Besides, my in-camera sharpening is set to zero and no editing done.
