Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

@Navin, phenomenal photograph!! But it is a Flamingo and not a Pelican.

@blue_pulsar: Nice colour of the sky, but the exposure could have been better.

It is underexposed. As a general dark object, the houses at the bottom become a distraction. To me at least.

@meghan: Wow!

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Been out of here for sometime, got a lot of ground(read pages) to cover now!!
As usual fantastic photos everyone! I specially liked robimahanta's bird/wildlife ones, punter's sunrise shot(any pp done on it?) from previous pages.

@blue_pulsar: Nice colors! Make it HDR if you had taken this in RAW, will highlight the building towards the bottom of the frame!

@Navin: Superb pic man, what lens? If the neck was also in focus would it have looked better?

@meghan: I like the dunes, and shades of brown!

EDIT: Adding a recent pic

Thanks Dry Ice . The lens is Canon 400mm f5.6. It sure would have looked better if the neck was also in focus I guess. But without IS and the shutter speed already at 1/250 I had no choice than shooting wide open.

@Meghan: Nice pic. I always wanted to goto the Death Valley and shoot in B/W.

Thanks guys. Abu your post made me confirm my babyhood on PP I was waiting for someone to pick up that point. Boat is a composite. But, its not the usual stuff what you see on Flickr and such pages. Both are my own images, clicked with the same camera at same venue.

Abu, any plans to meet up again ? Its long time ! I am free this Saturday. Lets shoot some landscapes and lakes early morning.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Hi, I never post high res images as a policy, regardless of the quality or art involved. Thats one reason you will find my IDs of Flickr, Facebook and Team-bhp share the same quality image. Infact it is 18% of the original converted into JPEG. RAW files are never touched, only the copies are taken for editing. If you really need, I can re-edit the RAW and save it in higher resolution and send to you. PM me your email .
