The Moon..

Had just got back from work last evening.. was standing in the balcony finishing a phone call... and noticed the beautiful full moon in the clear sky.. ran to get my camera and made a few images... hand held and manual focus!

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

For best results on the iPhone 4 camera I recommend the Adobe Photoshop Express camera app which can be bought. I gives great results especially the reduce noise and vibrant modes makes mundane pics look good. Here is an example.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Had been to a local Market. It was a good experience on street photography. All images taken with due permission. Tweaked a bit in LR.

Looks very narrow DOF. What was the Aperture and distance to subject?

I wanted the shot like that, with face properly in focus! It is f/3.2 with 50mm, distance to the dog's face was just more than a feet.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Clevermax,
Looks like you're having a lot of fun with your 50mm . These legacy lenses can work some magic.

TG,
Nikon V1 again? :P. These small cameras put the fun back in shooting.

I went to Lalbagh on Saturday, the only place I would want to go everyday. Anyway, spring is here and I was there to see if I could get something interesting. I was out with the looked down upon lens, the 75-240mm. Both of the following shots were made with the G1 and 75-240mm using a voightlander adapter. They were handheld, so am not so happy with the sharpness and noise. Have to go back and try these again. The background made me go crazy as soon as I got the first photograph. Longer lenses definitely help and I was using a 480mm EFL one. As usual, C&C is welcome!

EDIT: Better version here:
