Did you apply any blur in post Nilanjan?

Recently, I was at Hurricane Ridge, Washington State. In clear weather, fantastic views can be enjoyed throughout the year from this spot. I planned this trip on a clear night and was quite happy to see the milky way, along with a green and orange tinge in the sky. I wonder what caused that green light, whatever it was, it blew my mind away! The orange was due to the lights from the city of Sequim, which is just over the ridge. The picture doesn't really do justice to the sheer feeling of seeing it first hand, right above the horizon.

Lovely capture of the milky way. Does Washington state get affected by the Northern Lights - perhaps that is responsible for the green tinge.

Your cat photo - I want to get that close to a wild leopard someday and shoot it

Yes, I applied a little blur. I was pushing my (limited) gear when I took the photo - the image is cropped, and had noise and reach issues (D90 + 70-300VR). I was hanging out of the Gypsy to click that. I don't think any of my co-passengers even got to click that tigress during those few seconds.

So I got motivated to work on one of my old photos from Tadoba National Park after seeing your photo. Now I wait to shoot a leopard....

A sub-adult tiger, one of the Telia cubs. Slightly cropped photo.

Heading towards land

Come on folks, this thread is moving slowly

Heading towards land.
Handheld shot from a boat. Andaman Sea, near Phuket, Thailand.

The portal.
That gap leads to the Andaman Sea, the Bay of Bengal, the seven seas of the world.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

I recently saw this stick insect, which is a common sight around my office. Not a great pic, was shot in a hurry.

One of the bulges must be the eye, not sure.

Any pointers to some good tutorials either on youtube or any particular site to learn photography?

Awesome! was it a single shot?

A view of the evening sun from Amsterdam central, taken at 9:30PM yesterday.
