Well, this was a tricky shot..i did see the dried sheath in the middle, but it was too windy and grass was swaying toomuch to create a good angle and thickness of the sheath was not that great either to the left or right of this frame.. May be this can be done in PP.

Nope, just bulb mode.

I wish you had managed a longer exposure though... would have looked quite nice with the stars going around that peak...

Is the pink spot a lens flare?? i thought it might have been an airplane

yup, my bad.
I think a 25 minute exposure is a good idea.
The lens flare is due to a car. Its through the eyepiece.

Same image after few minutes of PP in Photoshop.

See how it uncovered tones that were invisible in the first shot? The first one looks rubbish, where as the second one shows tile roofed homes on a mountain slope on a misty morning.
Can you also post the jpeg straight out of the camera for the same picture.

extreme_torque, I don't shoot jpeg these days, so I don't have the jpeg from camera. May be I can try that experiment next time, after all this view was shot from my home.

You are right Krishna, my camera does have that feature (RAW+JPEG), but I seldom use it.
