Intermediate Forum Usage

To view updated content (from the time of your last visit):

1. Log-in to Team-BHP.

2. On the navbar, you will see a "new posts" link (top right of any forum page). Clicking on that will take you to the results.

To view the updated content of the last 24 hours:

1. Click on the "Quick Links" button from the navbar (top right of every forum page).

2. On the resultant drop-down menu, click on "Today's posts".

To personalise your user profile:

1. Click on the "User CP" link which is located on the top left-hand side of every forum page.

2. On the resultant page, you will see several options for customising your avatar, signature, profile picture and more.

To change your registered email address or password on Team-BHP, click here. You must be logged in to make the desired changes.

To create a poll at the time of posting a new thread:

1. Simply tick the "Yes! post a poll with this thread" checkbox at the bottom of the page, and set the number of possible options you wish to include.

2. When you click the submit button, you will be taken to a poll creation page where you can specify a question and the list of responses you want to include.

3. You can also set different options like an expiry time, whether the poll stays public (votes will be public to all) amongst others.

NOTE : Newbies are not permitted to create polls.

The PM facility is very simple to use:

1. Receiving PM's : Whenever someone sends a PM to you, you will receive a prompt in a pop-up window. Alternatively, you can click on the "Private Messages" link which is displayed on the top right-hand side of every forum page.

2. Sending PM's : If you wish to send a PM to another member, first click on the "Private Messages" link. On the resultant page, click on the "Send new message" link which can be found on the left-hand side of the page. Enter the relevant details and click on the "submit message" button to deliver the PM.

NOTE : The Private Messaging facility is only available to BHPian membership level (and above).

To send an email to a member:

1. Go to the profile page of the user you wish to contact.

2. Click on the "Send a message via email to xxx" link.

3. On the resultant page, enter the relevant details and click on the "Send message" button.

4. An email will be sent out immediately, however, the member's email address will NOT be visible to you.

If you wish to receive an automated content update from the forum section of your interest:

1. Go to the forum section of your choice.

2. Click on the "Forum Tools" link.

3. From the drop-down menu, click on the "Subscribe to this forum" button.

4. On the resultant page, choose your preferences and click on the "Add subscription" button.

If you wish to receive an automated content update from the thread of your interest:

1. Go to the thread of your choice.

2. Click on the "Thread Tools" link.

3. From the drop-down menu, click on the "Subscribe to this thread" button.

4. On the resultant page, choose your preferences and click on the "Add subscription" button.

To unsubscribe from a thread:

1. In your "User CP", click on the "List subscriptions" link.

2. Click the check-box to the right of each thread that you wish to unsubscribe from.

3. Using the drop-down menu at the bottom right-hand side of the page, choose the "delete subscription" option.

4. Click on the "Go" button to have your subscription deleted.

Each thread on Team-BHP is printer-friendly. To view the printer-friendly version:

1. Go to the thread of your choice.

2. Click on the "Thread Tools" link.

3. From the drop-down menu, click on "Show Printable version".
