This app is available in 'kind of' appstore for n900. You need to define new Catalogs in App Manager. Instruction are up there in the link below.

make sure that you know what you are doing as some of these applications can brick your phone!. But if you are ok with reflashing the firmware, you should go ahead and try it. (BTW, FM Carkit is fine. So far no problems with it)
Like someone said in TMO forums, if you dont reflash your device atleast once a week, you are not a real user of N900.
