Current favourite - O2 Atom

Other models than can be considered:

SE P910
iMate JAM
iMate JAMmin
Eten M600 (very highly recommended)

I've also had a very good experience with the Motorola A1000, though some people think Motorola is a bad word.

A good PDA has a different definition for different persons. What are your requirements?

Look at O2 Mini S..... got everything... 400 MHZ processor, 1.3 Mega Pixel Camera, Windows Mobile OS, Bluetooth, Infrared and WiFi connectivity, sliding qwerty keyboard too... around 25.5 k's in delhi without bill.

@steeroid.... I had also made up my mind for M600, apparently doesnt seem to lack anything but it has a samsung 400 mhz processor... that's the only concern that i have abt this phone.

samsung's 400mhz cpu is actually as potent as 520mhz intel xscale processor. Dont be concerned. If it is slow then look at similarly speced benq p50 that also comes with a keyboard and 416mhz intel xscale cpu.

That is the phone's STRENGTH. The Samsung 400 mhz CPU outperforms Intel 520 mhz CPUs AND consumes less power. What more can you ask for??? My JAM's 416 mhz processor doesnt deliver HALF the performance of this Samsung CPU.

Or is it the 'korean' thing? If yes, please be informed that almost ALL PocketPC Phones are made in Taiwan or China today.

THE ODM for most of the windows phones are Quanta, HTC, Eten and others which are based in Taiwan and surrounding countries.

From what I hear, the TI OMAP 200 mhz does a pretty good job when compared to higher clockspeed Intel processors and delivers MUCH BETTER battery life.

With Wi-Fi enabled, you would need good battery life more than anything else.

Intel processors havent been doing a great job on the Windows Mobile PocketPC Phones, which is why you're seeing manufacturers experiementing with TI and Samsung processors. Dont base your judgement on brand name and clock speeds here.

Actually i was more concerned abt the brand name... coz i hadn't heard of a processor from Samsung.... they are famous for their memory chips and ram modules. Didnt knew it had such good performance..... thanx!

Tell you what!!!!!!
samsung S3C2440 is the same processor as the intel xscale PXA270 cpu.

I am a bit confused as Samsung has been able to extract 533mhz from the same cpu whereas intel has only been able to touch 520mhz.

You're jumping to conclusions, devarshi.

What you READ is:

" It is powered by a Samsung S3C2440 400 MHz processor. The Samsung S3C2440 is basically an Intel XScale competitor processor."

What you UNDERSTOOD is:

" It is powered by a Samsung S3C2440 400 MHz processor. The Samsung S3C2440 is basically an Intel XScale processor."

All davespda was trying to say is that the Samsung is a competitor to the XScale processor.

maybe possible but the architecture I saw on their website and specifications are also the same.
