hey guys my benq 24 incher just arrived.. just hooked it up with a ps3 via HDMI to check full 1080p support and its awesome!!!. Native resolution is 1920x1200 via either the DVI or the standard VGA input. Also have my Tata Sky connected via the regular RCA style video input(yellow plug) and also still have my analog composite/component(green,blue,red) inputs left which i can use for my X-box 360.So its got plentyy of input options.
So far this monitor has the most vivid colour reproduction of any monitor i have seen. This is probably the closest thing i have seen to CRT.
more updates soon ...

If you can shed some heavy bucks then go for the Sony & LG brands they are the best in business.... & much better then the other brands of LCD moniters.

Has anyone purchased an LG Monitor TV? How is the quality? How much did you pay? Is it worth the money or is it better to use separate devices for both? Here is a link to their site

The LG Monitor TV does not seem to have hit the stores yet. I checked with Girias, Jyothis and Viveks and they don't have them. Funny sales strategy - shouldn't they ensure supply before splurging on TV ads? The funniest thing is that if you call their toll free number - they point you to these showrooms!

It is available in Croma. Saw it yesterday. Also available at normal computer suppliers.

I bought the LG LCD TV monitor for 10800 from SP Road in Bangalore. Haven't figured out how to view both the monitor output and the television at the same time - 50-50 option. Any users of this have ideas? The manual does not explicitly say how to do this - at least from what I saw:0

I came across this yesterday :

22"
1900x1080
DVI + VGA input
160* & 170* viewing angle
< 10,000Rs!

Techtree.com India > Reviews > Basics > Monitors > Samsung 2233sw LCD Monitor

The reviews all seem to be pretty good. I might consider it as a future purchase for the home desktop. Anyone used it?

(Currently i'm using the Dell WFP2407 - which is just AWESOME, but pricey too)

I went to LG to check and there are no IPS panels available as of now. All they have is LCD TVs (which can be used as monitors too) in 26" and above.

I dont want a TN panel and desperately looking for an IPS but there is none available. Only Dell had 2209WA (which is still there on the site) which was sold through some tech sites but it isnt available in markets and not even on Dell direct sale through website. In fact Dell has stopped sale of monitors to retail customers.

Have a Viewsonic 1945 monitor and feel perhaps a bigger monitor could be useful. Am quite happy with Viewsonic. However, today's Mint had some good reviews of AOC. Can members here suggest a good LCD monitor for PC use only (shall also use it for watching movies with closed captions). These closed captions are not visible on a normal DVD player.

Another thing: how does one see closed captions on DVD players. This is useful when the movie has no subtitles, but has closed captions (for perhaps hearing impaired).

Edit: my trusted dealer does not recommend AOC. but Dell, Viewsonic. What about Dell's 22 and 24' inch ultrasharp versions or equivalent Viewsonic

Dual purpose - TV & PC monitor

Want to have single LCD panel that can be used as TV & PC monitor. Usage would be 60% TV & 40% PC. This would be used by an elderly relative, so ease of use & switching easily between inputs matters most. TV source would be Tata Sky STB.

Should one look for LCD TV with PC input or look at PC monitor with TV tuner/component inputs? What's cheaper & reliable?
