Steve Jobs no more

Truly saddened with the news that Steve Jobs is no more. Most of us being engineers, it was indeed a revelation that technological products can be beautiful and well crafted as well. It was all about function taking precedence over form prior to him, Steve showed how it can be the other way around, and gained tremendous respect and clout in the process.

And how can we forget Pixar, the creater of such magnificant animation and story telling that people of any age can watch and be moved by them.

The world will no longer be the same. There are people who are remember years and even decades after they gone, Steve will be remembered for centuries. May the soul of the greatest sculptor cum CEO this planet has seen, rest in peace.

Note to Mods: Figured it makes sense to start a new thread so people can pay their respects. Please merge/delete if necessary. Thanks

re: Steve Jobs RIP

Most of us would be devastated if told that you have only some time to live. He was told exactly that.

But, he chose to make every day count. I salute that spirit.

re: Steve Jobs RIP

He is not 56 years old. He is 56 years and young. Not able to imagine how it would have been without his innovation.
His disease has been so severe and yet he was in the company 6 weeks ago. Nothing more could be a proof of a leader than this.

re: Steve Jobs RIP

I am reminded of the following tribute to Steve Jobbs' phenomenal contribution to the millions who use apple products:

Three apples changed the world as we know it today.
1.The Apple which Adam ate,
2.The Apple which Sir Issac Newton based his theory of gravity, and
3.The Apple that Steve Jobbs created.

What A MAN!!
Steve Jobbs RIP.

re: Steve Jobs RIP

My condolences to Steve Job's family and pray for his soul to RIP.

Ironically Job's demise concurred with almost a first flat reception for any apple product (Iphone 5) in this decade.
Even the Apple phone looked sad.

I can't believe it!! Am deeply saddened by the news. God bless his soul.

A deeply charismatic personality, and intense like no other. Hats off to him for carrying Apple & himself to greatness in the last decade, despite all his health sufferings.

We'll miss you, Steve.

re: Steve Jobs RIP

I heard a quote about Steve Jobs when recession was at peak in US:

American doesnt need more "jobs" we need more innovators like "Steve Jobs"

May his soul rest in peace.

Holy ...! I thought a friend had put up the status of "RIP Steve Jobs" because he had stepped down from Apple. I did think it strange, but then saw this thread. Man, he was present at the iPhone 4s launch yesterday, right? That was sudden. This man really redefined what technology should mean to consumers. Practical, stylish, easy to use, and useful. A true genius, and therefore slightly eccentric. RIP, Steve Jobs.
