Data Cable is also fine, but Bluetooth would b a better option anytime.

Also check with ur GPRS provider with the GPRS services.

First of all Thanks Evrybdy for replying.

@babar & rareone - Ok i already got the gprs activated for my sim

@karthik, kpzen , rareone - My phone dun support bluetooth
wht it supports is only datacable & irda . so which would be better option.

Btw kpzen y is datacable useless for win xp w/o sp2? is it due to no support for usb 2.0 ? btw my computer has ieee 1394 port. so is there any datacable which can be plugged into 1394 port???
once again Thanks for helping me out

I havent seen a data cable for firewire.

Stick with the cable; my bro uses cable to browse net on my lap. He uses a 6670.

Get the annual airtel net package. costs only 1500/annum. unlimited download

The datacable would be faster than IRDA, however HOPEFULLY you might get speeds to make use of that speed advantage!

Since you do not have a bluetooth compatible phone....i suggest you go for the data cable....the Ir..i recommend if of no use..as you have to always have to keep the phone at a spacific range n stuff.....i use the DKU-2 and its quite handy....u can use in all windows OS and u dont even need SP2 for it.....

if you are serious about surfing internet through cell phone then get reliance cell phone. Reliance internet connection is good and you get decent speeds for surfing internet.

I would suggest you to go with data cable!!... never on infrared port.!!..

even blue tooth works out here, but not as gud as a data cable...

Airtel has their Mobile office for surfing net from your laptop or desktop.. i've MO 799 connection at home! .... pretty gud speed!!..
