Hey aadix,

Well 35.2Kbps = 3.52KBps which is half of what your bandwith meter was showing.... so maybe your connection was just having a bad day when u tested. Try running the test again later sometime, preferably late at night and when no other internet apps are running on your comp.

Tested Speed : 78.4
ISP : Hotwire-India, (Primus)
Bandwidth : 64kbps
Location :New Delhi

BUT there's a catch... sometimes.. the server's bandwidth manager goes offline. SO woooo... I go all the way to 512KBps... i.e. 4mbps (happens quite offten)
AND even then my upload speed is always 1mbps+ i.e 125KBps+
I have managed to download.. full CDs in what 10-15mins.. LOL!

Tested Speed - 100 - 161.2 kbps
My ISP - Tata DSL
ISPs connection speed - 512 kbps
Location - Marine Lines, Mumbai

Darn thing is supposed to give me 512 kbps!! BUT, we are sharing the connection between 8 PC's, so i guess its not too bad. Maybe I should shut off all the other PC's and try it then.

The best speed I have seen so far is at Proctor & Gamble Technical Research center in Cincinnati. I could download a 7 MB file in 30 seconds.

Hey guys,

Since its the monsoon et al the connection speeds are quite erratic.... so try the test a couple of different times.
Even i am getting much slower speeds than i have previously got with this connection.

cheers
