No such plans show up on the bsnl website. I have the ULD 945, which is a ridiculous 2mbps upto 8gb, 512kbps after that plan in Pune.

Can anybody recommend a 1st rate ISP in the Dehradun area? Looking for fast/dependable Internet access.

Re: How Fast Is Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) connection?

Hello,

Minimum speed from Airtel is 16 mbps now. I was on 8 mbps plan and is not upgraded now. When I enquire for upgrade they mentioned that my area (Sanjaynagar, Bangalore) only 8 mbps is supported. need to find out if its true.

I hope they can at-least upgrade their post FUP to 1Mbps. I am absolutely disgusted with Hathway.
They are turning out to be worse that what BSNL was 8 years back! Since 4 days my internet is out and they keep telling me that it will be rectified in 24 hours. I asked them, does their hour consist of 360 mins?

Absolute joke in this day and age. Never thought a company can be this pathetic. And I have paid them for 3 months already

I called this morning to upgrade to a better (for my needs) plan from 8 to 16 mbps, and they said 16 mbps is not available in my area in Bangalore. The CS guy told me to write an email to Airtel asking for this; he said cables had to be upgraded so it was a big decision. Fat chance of that happening.

Here in Bangalore they give 100mbps for 2K. But post FUP speed is 1mbps.

Re: How Fast Is Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) connection?

Don't hold your breadth for the BSNL 2 Mbps minimum speed plans.

The post FUP download limit is still 512 Kbps.

What a shame!

Edit: MTNL will be no different.

In that case, this 'upgrade' is not even applicable since you are not having 512 kbps speed.

Re: How Fast Is Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) connection?

I'm in Chennai and have an ACT connection. Paid for 40 mbps with 75 GB fup which has now been upgraded to 100 GB!

After living with BSNL's low speeds and 8 GB fup, ACT is honestly a life saver.

Which is why Airtel charges a bit high than other players. Reliability & Uptime.

5+ years for me now with Airtel, and Zero Downtime.

Re: How Fast Is Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) connection?

I am on ACT Lightning Plan - 50 MBPS of download/upload speed and 75 GB of FUP.
ACT is one of the best ISP with good internet speeds and issue resolution times. The turnaround time is quiet decent compared to BSNL.

Re: How Fast Is Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) connection?

I am on BSNL ULD 675 plan and this is the speed I'm getting now.
Earlier used to get 512 kbps.
Does anybody know what's the FUP on this.

EDIT: Just checked their website. For ULD 675, its 2mbps for just 1 GB. Beyond that, back to the old 512 kbps.
