I am told that the best way to test download speed is to start and download a large file from a good site. Something like this service pack file (266 MB) file from the microsoft site (since they have good servers and adequate bandwidth) ..

http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...35-SP2-ENU.exe

The windows download will give the transfer rate. Multiple that value by 8 and you will get an idea of what is the true bandwidth that you have.

Else, if you want a nice graphical display and stuff, try this...

Here's what I got in my office connection...

Thats funny. My 256kbps airtel connection hits 240kbps in the day and 450kbps in the night for download. Upload speed hovers around160kbps irrespective of the time.

After logging in just On left hand side bottom of the page you will see some services like video stream etc. clikc on gamepack1 and activate it. and you will get 512 speed for free.

I like the women there more than singapore, really. I mean singapore girls have nice skin and hair - but a ruskaya is way better. What about your reason for singapore?
