How Fast Is Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) connection?

DO NOT VOTE

Until you have run the following test -
(Voting is limited only to Indian internet connections due to statistical reasons, please!! firangi connection holders may post and show off though! )

Click here to run the test.

Try to run the test when you are not downloading anything else.
Your may run the test as many times as you wish, and post your best result.

Please note that the speeds are in Kilobits per second and not KiloBytes per second. So you can divide by 10 to get to your actual speed of how many KB u can get per second in ideal conditions. (10Kilobits (Kb) = 1KiloByte (KB))

Try and mention the following info with your post -

Tested Speed - In Kilo bITS per second as the site showed
Your ISP - Whether its sify/hathway/igate/VSNL(dialup) etc etc
ISP's Connection Speed - Whether they gave you a 64kbps/128kbps/256/kbps connection, or if dialup mention what speed your modem is
Location - Indian city & the general area you are located in that city

Thanks guys,
cya

Kimi, right now i am jealous of you too infact. I am reaching a max. of 100 kbps and a low of nearly 50. You seem to be complaining even about 180-230.

Huh, some people arent ever happy with what they have. Looks like nothing is enough for them....

Hey Revv,

Not complaining, but after using the cable internet in Japan and New York....this is quite slow. *Though honestly speaking, I am sooo happy now since I got cable connection out here too. For my first 5 months here I was using dial-up...and that surely sucked!!! hehehe

Tested Speed - 32.7 Kbps (Average speeds at 6 15 p.m.) Rises to around 42 Kbps on a lazy sunday afternoon.
ISP - MTNL (Dialup)
ISP's Connection Speed - 54K
Location - Malad, Bombay

Used to have BSES fibre optic net connection (powersurfer) at my older house, which was as good as this when they increased the connections to every tom, dick and harry. The first few days with it were real good. 5-6 songs could be downloaded from audiogalaxy every 2-3 minutes. Then it became a song every 2-3 days.
Immune to slow internet connections now. Mind is numbed.
Made my century with this post. *
