Great v12. Congrats. 5 mega pixel will be more than enough for your need. Unless you're looking for huge blow ups of 30/20 inches. Carl Zeiss is one of the best lens available. Good that Sony started using their lens. Contrast level is much improved nowadays.
Just check your image when you take it to photoshop for colour balance. To do this... open the image in PS. Press control/shift/L for auto level. If you find the colour rendition is better than the original then that should be your usual process.
Happy shooting.

Oh wow. 5 MP is really great. But make sure you downsize the images before you upload them, or else, we dial up guys will have to wait the whole day for it to load on our screen. Lol!!..

thanks everyone. unfortunately havent seen any good car as yet. so i just clicked a pic of my lane from the terrace. there were lotsa traffic cops today. getting all car owners to park their car parallel to the road (instead of angular).

Heres the pic : http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/iipcache/1501.jpg

Congrats buddy......nice buy.

I got my new digicam a couple of days back too, a 4 megapix Olympus C750 UZ with 10X optical zoom. Went thru a lot of reviews and tried out quite a few cams before I settled for either the Olympus or a Kodak DX 6490. But the former has more features and a fully manual mode too, and better pic quality than the Kodak. So there it is. Now I'm prayin I find good cars around

gr8 cam...
DSC-W1.. has a GOOD BIG LCD
And see that pic you posted.. its H-U-G-E

Though its true for all cameras.... Digi cams are affected by it the most.. CAMERA and OBJECT should be absolutely still while clicking.. else the pic is not that gr8.
