help in buying a digital cam

Speedstaya,

I bought SONY DSC P72 few months back. It's performance has been very good even after getting wet.It's 3.2mp, 3x opt 5x digi zoom.

Great camera, got it for just about 10k.

Dad swears by Olympus when it comes to digicams. Wouldn't let me buy any other.

If you're on a totally ridiculously right budget (like my Lancer budget), then you should look at the 2 megapixel Kodak 6300 or something - dont remember the exact model number - but its a decent camera for about 6k. No optical zoom though.

Yup, those sell for around 15-16K in the grey. Neat cam...I love the weather resistant case.

just bought a NIKON coolpix4100(128mb card) from dubai.....it cost me around 250$...

image quality: excellent
video : good (not the best )

Go to this site www.steves-digicams.com all answers sorted out there. He has reviewed each and every digi cam. But from personal experience shutter speeds and ease of use is Sony. Any sony is fantastic. Do not I repeat do not buy Nikon. Its a little more professional and you need ot have really really really steady hands. Excellent Camera but not very user friendly. Rather go in for Sony. Or you can even check out Canon

Hey guys,
I am in the same jhamela.
Either a digicam or a cell cam.
Budget is same.
Used to take car pics as my handycam is big but it is really good.
1 yr passed and it is still working.

My father surprised me with it.
A sony T 11.
Quite cool.
