benq-siemens-second time lucky?

Both failed the first timein India. Siemens mobile collapsed and benq was never up there. But now the sixth largest mobile phone maker is up and running.

Good designs, siemens Reliability, Benq's costs
Good products coming out of time (unlike siemens wait for months)

I have always had a soft-corner for siemens after I bought the sx-1 and later on s65. hence I decided to post and discuss on What are the chances of survival of this brand in India?

U got sx1?U are only the third guy I know who has this beauty.I am using mine for nearly 2 years & don't see any reeason to change it.

Siemens never took advantage of the booming market here like Jokia did.Its a pity,their phones are very good & user friendly.I don'ty have high hopes for Benq-Siemens here in India.They will have to be aggressive in their marketing here.Not to forget the Benq brand doesn't have nay image.

I know 4 people in AHmedabad who had siemens sx1. mostly because the shop people who sold the phone directed them towards me for help. they had desperately tried to sell me a 7610 which my friend axually bought.

I am in love with the new Sl91. may get one for my dad as a gift.

WHy I think it may work is because benq's cost cutting and network and siemens easy OS and reliability may work out in their favour.

While sx1 was more than a year late the SXG75 was only 3 months behind schedule and the s75 and s88 were delivered on time.

After seeing wat Sonyericsson did I am positive that benq-siemens may do something similar to the mobile phone market.
