Bought a few games for the PS3 over xmas including NFS Pro Street and Call to Duty 4.

Not really impressed with Pro Street. There is lag and the online play is not upto much.

Call to Duty 4 is better and the online play is good.

The latest firmware update for the PS3 allows you to play DivX. I have updated but not bothered to try it yet.

The PS3 is in desperate need for good games. Most the games I have tried so far are what I would call average. Some of the graphics on my old Xbox 1 were brilliant for what was a dated bit of kit. Same cannot be said for the PS3. I am gald I managed to get the PS3 cheap, I would be seriously peed off if I had paid £300 for it.

I paid just over £135 for mine which is a 60GB version.

Still not realised what all the fuss was over. I thought the leap from the old Xbox 1 to a PS3 would be like going from the Commodore 64 to the Nintendo 64. I can do more stuff on my softmodded xbox 1 than I can on the PS3. Why dont the likes of Sony and MS look at what people want and give it to us.

You can find Blueray discs at Music World. Cost about Rs.1500 - 1800 a movie. Spider man and a short list of movies are available off the shelf.

what you saying dude..I jus-t bought a PS3 80 gigs yesterday...every single store - circuicity to sams club has it for 499..even during new years sales, i don't think it ever went to like 399 for an 80 gig man..there would have been lines/fights/news all across america perhaps for the ps3 at that kind of price for 80 gig version..
or maybe only your local circuitcity must have had a special offer or something..because i can't recall the price to go that low...
peace,

Thank god, i had flogged myself below for the price drop. Even i checked the sites and its still at $499. So i will massage myself to feel better

One big question i have is, how do i use my memory cards to view the contents ( mostly pictures)? Do i just insert them and view the pictures?

Also, how do i save data to my 80GB hard disk, i still haven't been able to figure this out yet

Stick the memory card into the card reader on your ps3 and go to the pictures option on the XMB. You will see a memory stick/SD Card option under pictures. Select that and you can start looking at your pictures. I havent tried saving it put try pressing the triangle button and see if there is a copy option.

@mobike008, you need to copy Music/Pictures/Videos to your usb/flash/external hdd/memory card and insert in your PS3, goto music/pic/video options in the XMB menu , you will see your inserted media, either click it to play it or you may press the Triangle button and it will pop out the options, where you can choose it to copy files to your PS3 HDD.
Alternativey you can also install an we server in your laptop/pc and browse it frm PS3 and download files to PS3.
