Opera mini in my vista pc

I like the firefox. Lately i have been using opera mini on my vista laptop. Because the mini uses lesser bandwidth.( I am not having an unlimited net connection and I spend a lot of time on the net, so the 1.5gb that is available in my bsnl broadband plan is not enough.) Here is the link which gives the directions for installing opera mini. Its very less comfortable than usual browsers. recommended only if you want to save upon your data usage.

I have been using firefox for last 4 years and I don't find any good replacement for this addon packed webbrowser. It's the best.

Any reason why you do not use Chrome for banking sites? I have been using it as my primary browser, and all banking sites I need work without a problem - are you not using it owing to security concerns, or is it incompatible with your bank's site?

In I read somewhere that Chrome much better safety than IE.
I guess the primary is that many sites are custom built for IE due to non standard HTML tags which work only for IE. I used to struggle for quite some time.

Now I use Chrome both for MAC and windows. Its been working very well.

The Pwn2Own competition in Vancouver is a yearly demonstration of the software industry's utter inability to keep its products safe from determined hackers. This year, researchers cracked Firefox, Internet Explorer 8, and Safari in minutes, winning $10,000 each, bragging rights and the hardware those applications were running on.

But more notable is the one survivor of the competition's browser category: Google's Chrome.

For the second year in a row, Chrome has left the Pwn2Own competition unscathed even as all of its competitors have been compromised.
2 year in a row without being compromised thats an achievement. With extensions enabled Chrome rocks.

The tabs are invisible for HDFC netbanking in Chrome. For example, I can't access/see the credit card tab in Chrome.

I am using Chrome and have not faced any problems with it so far. I don't remember it crashing any time and find it a bit faster compared to IE ( specially on TBHP, Youtube and Gmail). I also use IE 8 which comes with windows 7 and this also seems good but needs a few plugins to be installed. So I can say that Chrome is my primary browser and works really well.

Hehehe.. thought so! I use HDFC bank too, and I got a solution for that

Here is how the top looks like when you login, right?

Now what you do is click on "Welcome" and select it (it's text), and drag downwards - like you click and select a paragraph - and viola!

Ok, for me I had to drag that white space next to the Welcome. But it is a bug of some kind.

Ah ok, so you new - thought I am telling something new I was struck with this prob for a while before I figured to unhide these "hidden" menus. Now that I knew, I never open IE, and I do not have another browser except Chrome installed!

Wish I can change my vote from Safari to Chrome - I was using Safari when I voted in this thread a while ago :(

I did'nt, thanks for the info ! Will try using it next time round. Had a similar problem with ICICI Bank and Opera, and that too every time Opera came out with an upgrade. Sometimes after the upgrade, it would work and sometime it would'nt, so I had to fire up another browser to log in. Incidentally, I use Opera, Firefox, Chrome and IE in that order of preference !
