Have you checked the surface it is on is level with a spirit level ?

Dodgy tube at worst or you need to get into the service menu (not the normal setup menu) and make some adjustments to the geometry. However adjustments in the service menu (if you do not know what you are doing) can result in a blank screen if the wrong setting is adjusted.

Take it back to the shop or have them come out and sort it out.

Curves can also happen if the TV is placed close to a magnetic field - like a non shielded speaker etc. I have this problem at home since my floor standers are not shielded and the speaker magnets are huge

Friends,

Any idea/feedback about Sharp televisions? I have to buy a T.V and am planning to go for a 29" CRT T.V. Some suggested a SHARP t.v. which apparantly comes with a 7 year warranty and is good.

Thanks,
Biju
I used a Sharp TV for the last 2.5 years and i absolutely loved it. Go ahead and get it and you'll never regret the decision. The panel is sleek and i have had no complaints during this period. I just replaced (gave it to my parents) it with a Panasonic Plasma.

Which aspect of the specifications do we refer to when looking for '100 Hz'?
I could not make it out clearly from these two pages...
One
Two
Basically, on the lookout for a good 29" CRT...

Finally bought LG 29" Ultra Slim Model : 29FU6RG for 15k. Dealer quoted 18K initially but finally deal was done for 14k+exchange of 3 years old TCL 21" TV (Which had started giving problems).

Any updates for this thread?

I will be looking at getting a 29" (or larger) CRT soon. So far the offerings from LG and Samsung are the only ones I have looked at.

Can anyone suggest any other alternatives. I looked at the Videocon Jumbo (34") but have read some pretty bad user reviews.
