2000 Nokia 5110. Submerged in floods
2000-2002 Nokia S25 (the longest & robust i ever used. once i dropped it when riding at 100 Kmph. There were only few scratches.)
2002-2003 Samsung SGH-A200 (the smallest i ever used.)
2003-2005 (4-5 Reliance handsets, Samsung N191 being best of all)

hehe - i'm with you on that, mate ...

here's my list

Motorola StarTac - 2001, my first phone, bought mostly for its style statement than any features it had, its still being used by neighbour's dad
Ericsson T29 - 2002, another neat small one, though with a very small screen and cramped keypad, passed it on to my roomie
Sony J5 - 2002, really, really loved this one, but my sis got her eye on this one, so had to give it up
Sony Z7 - 2003, one of the most user-friendly phones that i had, didnt want to leave it, but color phones really tempted me
SE k700i - 2004, one of my favorites till date, thanks to its sweet UI, and great screen, and superb feature set, though often crashes for no reason - still have it
??? - now on the lookout for a new one - SE k790i top contender for now

list would be way too long since i have been using cell phones from 96 at a rate of 2-3 mobiles per year,

favorite ones are nokia 8310 and currently 6320i because these are the only phones which lasted me for a reasonable amount of time and have bought these models twice each,

i hope they bring 8310 back in whatever way they can evolve it or better still does any of you guys have a un-packed box piece????

Ok. Here's my list. This thread made me really think and bought back fond memories I must say.

1. Motorola Talkabout (with Vibration - paid a premium for that rare version). - 2000 July. II year of Engg. Incoming was charged abt 2 bucks and outgoing 4. or nearabout - not sure.

2. Nokia 3310 - 2001
Aug - III year of Engg.

3. Nokia 8250 - 2002 Aug. A really sexy phone. I remember I had bought this 2 tone original skin .. used to be dark blue/purple depending on the angle one saw it at. - IV year of Engg.

4. Nokia 6100 - 2003
Aug - used it for 2 years. The one year I worked and the other while in First Year of MBA. One of my favorites.

5. Sony Ericcson P900 - 2005 Aug - got from my sis after she used it for a year in UK. Spoilt the touchscreen trying to clean the edges. Used for less than 2 months.

6. O2 Mini - 2005 Oct - Used it for about a year then passed it on to my Dad as he wanted a smaller version of the iMate which he was using then.

7. O2 Atom - 2006 Sep onwards. A really sexy phone. I don't use many of the extra features over the Mini - but the camera is real crisp and weight is about half.

My list would be slightly longer I guess. I am a gadget freak(which explains my working in the cellular segment ) I personally started having mobile phones around 2001-2002 or at the end of my second year in college to be more precise.

I have used Hutch monthle and prepaid, reliance, Airtel monthly and BSNL in this range.

I have used proprietary OS's from SE, NOkia, Siemens and symbian, windows, linux OS's. I am yet to play around with a palm.

The best I ever used was the siemens Sx1 (absolutely love it) followed by a tie between the P900i-n-gage. The worst was E365 and those Reliance phones.

My average mobile phone ownership has been 3-4 months max. The longest I had was a S65 for a year and the worst was the p910i for 2 weeks. While the first phone I got to play with belonged to my dad, it was me who used them more than my dad:P

Ericsson GH388

Mitsubishi Trium

Panasonic GD93

Panasonic GD96

I started having my own phones from here on.

Very similar yaar. Infact the only reason I bought the 8250 over the 8310 was that my sister was using the 8310.
