No, there is no way out. Unlike Netflix, Amazon Prime is tied to your country of registration i.e. where your credit card (or other payment method) is issued plus your shipping address. You cannot view Amazon Prime US content using an Indian ID.

I use Surfshark and other VPNs to view Netflix and other audio or video streaming content. Also, most VPN providers' IPs are specifically selected to pass through blacklists by Netflix, BBC iPlayer, Hulu and other content providers. Amazon is not yet a priority for them.

Re: List your digital / online subscriptions here!

Any recommendations for Live Mint+WSJ subscription which is currently for Rs. 2600 for a year? Or is Bloomberg Quint better?

Re: List your digital / online subscriptions here!

Entertainment
- Spotify Premium
- Netflix
- YouTube Premium
- MUBI
- Disney+ Hotstar Premium
- Plex Pass
- Overcast Premium (podcast app)
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

News
- The New York Times
- The Wall Street Journal (am going to cancel this and sign up for the Livemint+WSJ combo as it is much cheaper)
- The Washington Post
- Monocle
- Business Standard
- The Caravan
- Scroll+
- The Wire
- Newslaundry

Tech
- Microsoft 365
- iCloud (additional storage)
- Evernote Premium
- Backblaze
- Private Internet Access (VPN)
- IDrive (for work)
- G Suite (for work)

Shopping/Dining
- Amazon Prime
- bbstar (bigbasket)
- Zomato Gold

Other
- Slopes: Ski & Snowboard app (annual pass)

I don’t do justice to most of these, which is a shame and source for a lot of FOMO. Haha. I used to subscribe to The Economist and The New Yorker but didn’t renew as I could never keep up. There’s so much great content out there and such little time!

Re: List your digital / online subscriptions here!

Forgot to add 1Password Families under my list of Tech subscriptions. It is one of my most used subscriptions and I cannot recommend it enough.

Many thanks for pointing me to this! I was paying more for WSJ on a monthly basis with their All Access Digital plan than this combo charges for an entire year, with access to Livemint thrown in as an added bonus. And there is a 10% discount for Amex card holders too. Sweet! WSJ used to be have an even better deal with Business Standard (Rs 199/month for both, absolutely mad) but unfortunately that got cancelled. This is stellar regardless, even if all you end up doing is using it to access the odd paywalled WSJ article.

My list:

Phone/photos related:
- Apple One Family Plan (200GB storage included)
- Google One 200 GB

Connectivity:
- Proton VPN

News:
- New York Times

Entertainment:
- Netflix
- Amazon Prime
- Hotstar + Disney+
- Rakuten Viki

And how things change in a matter of 2-3 years.....

I have gone from no paid online subs to a paid subscription to almost all the digital entertainment platforms today.

Re: List your digital / online subscriptions here!

With Google's sloppy 'here today, gone tomorrow' way of creating apps, I've pulled out of GDrive and GPhotos. Check this site for the growing list of apps that Google kills and will kill in the near future: Killed by Google. Unfortunately, for Google, I'm their product and I don't want to be. For that reason, and for Google's other intrusive privacy policies, I've made the shift to Apple with the iPhone 12 mini. I've been an Android user for 13 years. I'm slowly shifting to the Apple ecosystem - AirTags, HomePod et al.

My digital subscriptions are:

Storage
Apple iCloud 50gig for photos and files. This works great as I use Macbook and iPhone

Music
Apple Music

TV
TVMucho - to watch all live UK television channels without VPN

I'm wary of subscribing to anything unless there's real intrinsic value for me.

What is the cheaper and most recommended photo storage service available. I am heavily affected by google photos unlimited photo storage service termination problem. And I am looking for alternatives.
