You do get something called Viera Link if you use a Pana DVD recorder, and of course a single remote works for both units.

What jassi said is only for PV80. With PV8 you will just get table stand and not the swivel stand, wall mount unit is not included as well. Correct me if I am wrong.

Tatasky dish (total package less than 4k) installation kit for a balcony grill is charged R.500/-. So, I wonder how much they might be charging for a wall mount kit of a Plasma (worth 55k) ! Other than the auto contrast and SD card slot, is there any other difference between a PV80 and PV8 (difference of 5k !) ?

Devi is located at Jayanagar I believe. Even I had a plan to check the demo, but sadly they dont have a demo piece as I understand. If you can message me the time or day after calling them, may be I could also join you and enter the place singing loudly;

"PV80 PV80, here we two more come,
from the gang of team-bhp, crazy place to be.
If you wanna clear your stocks,
give us more discounts.
You will wonder where these guys
come with ready cash...cheers:

If you guys want a demo of pv80, I suggest you go to Panasonic brand shop and then, after you are satisfied, buy it from Devi International.

Other than the auto contrast and SD card slot, is there any other difference between a PV80 and PV8 (difference of 5k !) ?

the brochure states that pv 80 is equipped with PRO-REAL ENGINE where as pv 8 is just REAL ENGINE.
the sales person was not able to tell the difference between the two.
gurus please clarify

I didn't want to compromise on quality for few bucks, so bought it from Pana shop itself for 1400/-
Gold plated HDMI is available on ebay for around 700, that way you can avoid travel to SP road.

By the way did anyone try Blue-ray on PV80?
