Hi,

Could you clarify if the price quoted of 45,500 for PV8 is a exchange price for a 29 inch t.v. or a standalone offer for PV8.

Standalone price is 45500 net all inclusive. I bought with an exchange of 29 inch TV for 39990 INR (this is new year offer and is over now)

And I can tell you my experience with vaibhav and JD has been amazing. Knowledgeable guy who understand our needs. He promised delivery on Wednesday and delivered to me on Monday.

Hi Guys,

Got myself a Panasonic PV80D, and am going through the break-in process. With the room lights switched off, i am able to notice slightly whitish bands on the top and bottom of the screen (similar to the black bands that are there in 16:9 mode) when switching channels. The screen goes totally black, but these whitish (not as black as the rest of the screen) is visible. On channels, they are not visible until its totally dark. Are there any issues with the TV?

The TV had been installed at 8 pm today. It has been on for an hour. I must have played the 16:9 format for 10-15 minutes, but there on i have zoomed in to remove the upper and lower bands and also the channel and dish tv logo.

Are you like using DTH or cable with STB?
I had similar issue with Hathway STB sometime back. But things have improved recently. The white patches have gone all of a sudden and the picture quality also improved.
Few others from Bangalore reported same issue with Hathway.

I just bought Sammy A410 in Delhi for Rs 47000. The main reason for deciding for Samsung was better service and market perception in India. I did audition the PV80 as well, both looked pretty similar but the price difference was 6K more.

Samsung A450 is basically the same as A410 except for the extra HDMI and 3D.

I am now looking for a great DVD player. Any suggestions ? Does anyone know the latest price of Pio DV610 in Delhi ?

Also can you please enlighten me with a comparison between DV410 and DV610 on PQ.

finally!

Hi people, I have finally ordered the PV8 from Devi. He matched the 45,500/- rate from Chennai after some negotiation and I assume that it will be applicable to the folks from this forum since I mentioned about this forum.

It will be delivered today. Cant wait to set it up. Next step is to buy a sub 20K home theatre with a upscaling DVD player. I have boiled down to the Samsung HT TZ315. It seems to have really good reviews all over including amazon.uk and last months AV-Max magizine. What do you guys think?

Congrats mate. PV8 is super. I am glad my pricing helped you . I also suggest you read the thread the HTB. I have a Philips and i would personally vouch for Philips HTBs.

I think you should go for Onkyo. Look at their 3105 range. Should be 20k or a little less I suppose without the DVD player.
