Hats Off To amazon.com!

Recently, I bought VIAIR tyre pressure gauge from amazon.com. I paid ₹ 1,613.17 that included a deposit for customs duty of ₹ 380.13. Today, I received a mail from amazon.com stating that an amount of ₹ 227.19 has been refunded due to reduction in customs duty. So, the net price paid including shipping worked out to ₹ 1,385.98. A few years ago, I received a similar refund for my order of VIAIR portable compressor. Hats off to amazon.com!

re: The "Online Shopping" Thread

I purchased leather watch collection case from Aliexpress and few photographic lighting related things. Price and shipping was perfect however please beaware Alibaba and Aliexpress are full of Chinese suppliers who do not have any concept of intellectual property rights.

There is absolutely no check on fake branded items .

So for generic items like leather goods , LEDs etc where you want to buy a generic China made item it is good but please do not buy any branded product as there is a high probability that it will be a replica.

www.linkdelight.com is another website very good for photography related items such as flash diffusers , gels , tripod accessories , lens hoods and caps etc.

Got a message in the morning to keep the amount ready. Few minutes back received a message that the delivery was attempted but couldnt complete since they were not able to connect with me. Status in Delhivery says, delivery to be attempted tomorrow. Call to them confirms the same. But they do not have a reason why they were not able to connect with me today.

Does anybody have any fresh experiences with Vicky.in?
Or are they still as bad?
They're the only ones who have fiesta grilles in stock.

If I were you I would keep them as my last option and if I do order from them insist on a COD.

Guys need some help. Placed an order for a car paint touch up kit from carlounz. Com and they delivered the wrong colour. The shipment in itself was delayed by a week or so. I have complained but they haven't responded for 10 days.

Checked their facebook page and there are lots of complaints.

Nobody attends their phone number too..

I paid using a credit card and have the option of raising a dispute.

Does anyone have any experience with carlounz or with raising credit card disputes??

re: The "Online Shopping" Thread

Bought a pair of riding gloves from the online Cramster store. They shipped it by DTDC after processing the order. However, even after 4 days, the DTDC web tracker does not show any information on the consignment no., except for that it was booked from Bangalore on 02nd June. Called up the local DTDC guys and they are clueless about it.

Have written to Cramster. Waiting for them to respond. Slightly worried since the payment is already made.

Anybody have the shopclues.com customer care no? They haven't published any in their site.

I got a damaged item during transit because of the poor packing, but their customer care seems to be not as good as like FK, Ebay, Jabong etc. I have mailed all the details about the damage along with the pictures as a proof of my claim but nothing happened so far. On further search there's no return request option in my order history like they have mentioned in the help section. This is the first time I am trying to get in touch with the Shopclues since their launch.

Yes I read this one too. It does provide balance....
Yet, it still does not answer several fundamental queries - about break even, profits and all the rest of the traditional business fundamentals...

I believe they don't have one to cut costs. But you should get a reply to mail. I've had to return stuff to them couple or more times in the past. But don't expect service like FK and the like. Don't know if they have improved or deteriorated as of now.

Finally received the product on the 5th night. The packing was torn on one side but the product inside has no damages. I did check everything before handing over the money. Will I shop again, yes, but only CoD

Received the gloves last evening at about 6 PM. The gloves themselves are very good for the purpose but the packaging was a huge disappointment. They were just packed in an envelope (no box/protection etc) with the address label attached flimsily from one end.
The product is good though and should stand the abuse for good time.

re: The "Online Shopping" Thread

Made my last order with Flipkart. No more Flipkarting for me now, specially since i am a non-Premium/First customer.

Had ordered a toy mobile for my child on 29th May. The product was Rs 350 after discounts and shipping was not free (unlike Amazon). Total amount paid was Rs 390.

The product was delivered today 7th June - after 10 days of ordering. True, the promised delivery time was 11th June, but this definitely does not look like the same Flipkart which used to deliver goods within 2-3 days as little till an year back. The box was delivered by EKart - which i presume is Flipkart's own courier service.

The toy was to be shipped from Ahemadabad to Bangalore. But first they sent it to Delhi and from Delhi it took 3 days to reach Bangalore (do they ship it via Railways?). Total number of days = 10.

Compare that to Amazon. They have zero shipping charges as of now, and i have have always been delivered the item within 2-3 days max.

Flipkart , i just have one message for you. Too much greed will take you down. Gone are the days of no competition. You can by small time players, but competition from Amazon and Ebay will forever be their. Your cheap "FlipkartFirst" Gimmick isn't going to work for long.
