Adi, the powerbank was priced at Rs. 999 before. Still retails for the same price. Was it being advertised as being discounted on the BBD sale?

Yes, that's correct. However, I have been searching the net even after receiving mine, to see if it's available any cheaper.

So far it seems that even though we paid the MRP, we bought it at the best price! If that's true, I appreciate MI rather than Flipkart!

No, it was priced at 999/-, and no discount was advertised / made up.

I bought it since the requirement arose around that day , plus, it was cheapest among Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon.

The 10400 was not discounted on the big billion day. And as far as I know, it was not advertised to be on sale.

re: The "Online Shopping" Thread

Bought a Mothercare car seat from shoppersstop.com on 6th October.

Got a confirmation call on 7th October.

Order status is still "confirmed" even after 8 days.

Don't know why these retailers sell online when they are not serious about online selling.

One of my orders at Snapdeal, placed on 6th Oct, shipped via Velex logistics is still not delivered. According to the tracking information, the shipment has reached Ranchi on 11th oct, but is lying comfortably with them since then.
Logistic companies also need to pull their socks up in preparation of online shopping culture.

I bought one on the 12th - but confirmation call? No idea of that. I have already paid for the item, why would someone call me?

My order is on CoD.

I prefer CoD (if available) specially from an online store where I have never bought anything before.

At 999 it is good deal. Other sites are selling at atleast Rs 300 more. Instead of buying a spare battery, this is good option.

You bought this on Shopperstop right? It is a website I use quite often, did not know if they were willing to accept almost 9k in COD!

I had ordered a pair of shoes for my kid, they were delivered on time. However, I do not know about their return policy, but my guess is it should be hassle free. You should read up on their terms and conditions.

re: The "Online Shopping" Thread

This whole discounting thing is turning out to be such a big scam! Just check the price of the Blackberry Q10 listed on 'SALE' on snapdeal .
This model is readily available for about 18k-19k offline!

The Online Shopping Thread-sd.jpg

Stuff like these really put a big question mark on the ethics of these online retailers.

This is getting weirder and weirder:

I don't understand what law did FK break, specifically. Having a PR disaster is not illegal, is it?

re: The "Online Shopping" Thread

Iam planning to buy a Dell Laptop (for reasons of only brand providing international manafacturer's warranty) and finalized below specs

1. i5 Processor
2. 1TB HDD
3. 8GB Ram
4. Optical Drive ( many models dont seem to have one)

Anyone can point me to any good deals online where I can buy right away?

No matter whether Flipkart has violated any law, but they are going to pay up to get rid of the hassle. It just means that Ms Sitaraman is going to get richer.

Bansals should have known that they cannot compete with Ambanis, Adanis and Birlas in Indian industry.
