Wi-fi interferes with the 2.4 GHz models if you take the phone too close to the router. I would recommend you go with 5.8 GHz models. I had 2.4 GHz model earlier and moved to 5.8 GHz model now.

In most cases even at 2.4GHz changing the channel fixes the problem. Remember many devices incl laptops may not support 5.8GHz.

I am looking at a dishwasher for home. I was thinking of buying a Siemens dishwasher. The models I was looking at are SN24D200IN and SN24D201EU. The difference in cost is about 6000rs- 32000 and 38000₹ . Besides the auto cycle and the digital time display are there any differences that are significant that affects the washing ability? The Bosch equivalents 40E32EU and 40M52EU are marginally cheaper. How good are they?

2.4 still has a few years left in it. 5.8 can be better, provided your devices support it. My wife's Toshiba laptop (I think 840) does not. I as a routine migrate the 2.4 device to a non-default channel.

Laptops and phones share the same frequency band. One more point the higher the frequency the worst is the attenuation by walls etc.

sir i still dont comprehend your reply completely. if i buy a 5.8 cordless phone then which device needs to support it ? won't it be an independent device fulfilling it's own specific function ?

most laptops and mobile devices by default have 2.4 capability and newer ones have 5 ghz too. i have a dual band continuous wifi router which keeps 2.4 and 5 ghz active simultaneously.

i thought i could access wifi from all devices @ 2.4 and get a 5.8 ghz cordless to keep it away from interference or disturbance to the wifi router and devices running at 2.4 ghz

I have the Panasonic vacuum cleaner, this one -> Panasonic MC-CG304 Vacuum Cleaner

First thing to note is that this one is really small, I mean I hold the entire thing in one hand and vacuum instead of letting it roll on the ground. Secondly the suction power is simply phenomenal. Thirdly it uses a reusable cloth bag.

There is a cheaper model as well, but that doesn't have adjustable suction and instead of a steel pipe, it has a plastic one. The adjustable suction is important for me in more ways than one as my MCB trips if I start the vacuum cleaner at the highest power setting.

After using a clunky Eureka Forbes for years, I shall never buy anything from them ever again.

I am using KX-TG6512. This is with dual handsets. 6511 comes with a single handset.

As sgiitk mentioned. attenuation with 5.8GHz would be higher. I use the cordless across two floors (that's why picked up a dual handset model) and this model works fine. The 2.4 GHz version worked even better and I could take the handset almost 100m away.

@rana_kirti; I mixed up Phone and router. Sorry for that. Get a 5.8 phone but just watch out for more drastic reduction in range / signal quality as you go across walls(s), etc. Similar arguments apply for mobiles on 900 and 1800MHz.

Panasonic and Samsung are there but pricey. I have a couple of motion sensor lights focused on my front gate and a pair of wireless foscams one for the front and other the rear. The foscams are motion sensitive too and pretty good with night vision too. All items mentioned were sourced from the US though.

Been using a Samsung for the past 18 months and works well. A load takes close to three hours though and we run it twice a day - morning and night. Family of 5.
