Re: Crashed Hard Disk - Data Recovery?

Hi everyone,
I need some advice on hard disk recovery.
The hard disk in question involved the photos and videos of my marriage. The photographer was supposed to give the videos two years back disappeared. Recently we got hold of him and he claims he stopped taking our calls because the hard disk stopped working and claims there is a head issue.

Can anyone in this forum guide on what we can do? We have taken the hard disk from him to see what we can do.
Is it possible to recover data from a Harddisk with damaged head? Are there any reliable people either in India or abroad who can do this?
I am willing to pay because this is our only copy of photos and videos from our marriage.
Thanks

Most things are possible, and there are such people.

I can't speak of results, because the time I enquired, the cost was exorbitant and my loss was not worth it. Had it been my wedding, maybe I might have felt otherwise.

This is the company where I enquired: Stellar. It was ten years ago.

Re: Crashed Hard Disk - Data Recovery?

Hi Guys, I have a SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD 500GB which I bought in 2020. I hadn't used it in a while and thought of trying it last night. However, my computer is not able to read it. I can see it in the device list but its not showing up as a drive. In the device list, its showing 'device unable to start'. Any idea how I can fix it? I thought these expensive SSDs were very reliable.

Also, how do I contact SanDisk Customer Support? I couldnt find the offical SanDisk Customer Care address on Google.

You can raise a complaint either calling them or raising a RMA online. I have done so for my Micro SD card before and got a replacement. Here is the link:

India Helpline Number :

Hope this helps !
