Nopes, I tried it today. Did not work. Still says Discovering !!

Any other way ? Any software ?

You can check this one, but changing registry entries could be harmful,

Err, I am very scared of registry entries.
I remember during my college days, I used to fiddle with registry every single hour and used to do many screw ups (young blood you see )

I was just saying this stuff to my techie wifey who laughed and said "Have you tried deleting in Safe Mode ?"
Sure I didn't try. I logged in to Safe Mode, and bingo, file deleted in a second !!
