LAN card to LAN card sharing

little bit of confusion here. please answer.
1. Dlink will provide dynamic IP (and not static) by default, in case you changed it.
2. Is it really D-Link DI-524. If it is you don't need a crossover cable. You can run a straight cable from the router to HP. (if the router is nearby, on a desk etc)
3. how many other PC uses this router (thru wifi or cable) for net.
