The problem is that Tata Sky is upgrading it's technology (That's what the Call Centre Auto Message says) and Viewers may experience black out of some channels.

Patron - No offence, but you just sounded like some of the IT Business guys who report a PROBLEM to a tech support guy :P

The signal strenght is strong - close to 80-90% but the signal quality is at 20% and get a message that the set top box is not receiving signal. Only a few channels keep coming back for a few minutes and then the no signal message comes back.

I think Tata Sky is experience a far reaching outage since yesterday afternoon. I am not able to view any channels (No audio / Video). Also the help line is unreachable.

Talk about lousy service!

Looks like this problem is limited to southern parts of the country. I call up family up north, and they are receiving channels for which my STB says "no signal".

I find that there has been a solar outage for the past few days from mid-day fot about 30 minutes. HD gets disturbed firat and is the last to come back.

Now my renewal is due on the 14th, I have recharged with my C Card to cover a two year HD mega Pack and one year for the second room. So will contact them tomorrow or the day after.

Same issue with me. except for the ZEE channels, no other channels are up since yesterday evening. The home screen relays a message that TataSky is upto some upgrade and there will be disruptions. The message also says to send an SMS to 5633 with NS as the message. Did that and promptly got a ticket number. Waiting for a resolution now.

Sorry for the back to back.

All channels are up and running now. Not sure if that SMS did the trick that they did something to my connection.

Yeah I had a blackout some time back today. All channels gone and I suddenly thought the local cable guy cut my connection

THankfully all fine now.

Yes, there was a "Sun Outage" some days back on TataSky.

so what did i have last night? moon outage?

last night while having dinner (around 9ish) i just got blue screen. i went out and checked, no rain or clouds (could see them stars clearly). till the time i went to bed it was the same. the only channel that seemed to be working was 100 (the TataSky ads) and Star Sports.

Hehe, yeah must have been the moon

But looks like other people had the same issue and some haven't been fixed yet!

Yes. Both me and my mother in different parts of bangalore are facing problems in Tata sky channels. The English news and features channels went off last evening , as has the regional language channels. Cant connect to TATA SKY helpline either.

Pune ...still complete blackout in all channels.

None of the helpline numbers reachable.. Time to say goodbye to Tata sky during next renewal time, enough of BS.

None of the HD channels + english ent and knowledge channels are working on my stb since last afternoon! Says 'no signal'. Initially i thought it may have caused by some debris falling on my dish due to contruction work in my building but after reading about the upgrade + solar interference I shall check if it's now working once i reach home.

I had the same issue along with a few of my neighbors too. We complained by SMS and the local technical guys called and the issue was sorted out immediately. One of the technician came home within a couple of hours also. The problem is supposedly due to software upgrade. I am not sure. I am happy that they responded fast
