You cannot trust the comments on Agaro products in Amazon. I have purchased an Agaro coffee maker and they offer additional warranty in return of a 5 star comment in Amazon (asks for screenshot). While the coffee maker itself is quite good and well made, I felt it to be a deceptive business practice.

Or

https://www.goodwill.in/black-decker...-bsv2020g.html

Note that the Makita will need an additional 4ah battery which is around 5k for it to work for a longer time. The included 2ah battery will just be fine for cleaning a car.

I have been using the same at home for the past 3 years almost every other day.

If you visit a local Dealer you can get the Makita for a lot less without the bundled screwdriver. (Approx 3k less).

Re: Cordless Vacuum Cleaner : Which one to buy?

I don't know if Dyson India allows this, but you can try buying it as parts rather than as a whole from Dyson site itself. It should cost only half.

For example, the Dyson V8 Absolute costs 33K at Dyson India site. If you have a look at its spares site (https://www.dyson.in/dyson/tools/step3/id/520/) you can get individual parts as main body (4K), battery (3.5K), bin (1K), pre + post filters (1K), charger(1K), mini soft dusting brush(1K), crevice tool(0.5k), quick-release motor head (3k) and a wand (1k). So you get a decent Dyson for ~16k. Add other accessories if needed.

I learnt this when I had to replace the motor of my Dyson v10. The machine had cost me 40k 5-6 years back, so I was surprised when the main motor cost only 2k. Curious, I added the price of all items in my v10, and it costs only ~22k now!

The only caveat is that a new machine gets 2 years warranty, while the parts get only 6 months warranty.

Hello fellow BHPians,

Has anyone bought a handy vacuum cleaner specifically for cleaning their car interiors? If yes, I would appreciate your suggestions. I’d like to keep my home vacuum separate from the car vacuum hence this requirement.

Thanks & Cheers!

Using Bergman hurricane since 4 years now and quite happy with it's performance.

I had bought Anker Eufy homevac S11 lite from flipkart. Works like a charm, no issues till date. I think it sells at about 6000/- in flipkart. Anker, I suppose is a good brand based in US. I can vouch for the quality of the components used in it. Worth buying, especially considering the price.

It won't last long at high power, may be 5 minutes. Normal mode is adequate for most purposes, long enough for cleaning a medium sized apartment. High power is very useful when cleaning the car interiors.

Re: Cordless Vacuum Cleaner : Which one to buy?

Bought Dyson V8 on good discount

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions on this thread. I finally endup buying Dyson V8 .

Post reading the comments and some of the other reviews and Videos online I realised that Dyson is the best. However I was still reluctant to buy because of price tag so I called other companies (Eurekaforbes, iLife and Agarro) helpdesk for Home Demo. All of them denied this facility. Hence callled Dyson just for a check , the Dysone store in DLF MALL Noida obliged and provided the Home Demo of V8. I likeed it and above all my wife liked it. Now came the biggest dilemma - increasing the budget exponentially to 28,500 which was the best price they were offering with HDFC CC. I stopped myself for couple of days thinking that I might get some discount online. For 2 days I was frantically checking all possible online ecom sellers and there was nothing. 21st September before going to sleep I casually checked Flipkart and I saw a discount , upon further checking it was a steep one approximately INR 12000 on current MRP of 32,900 INR. I could not believe it, I went through the process of buying and upon selecting the 18 month EMI option via HDFC CC I got the final price of INR 20867. Without wasting any more time I made the purchase. The EMIs come with the facility of foreclosure and you do not have to pay any interest if you pay upfront. In case you plan to go with full 18months tenur it will be approximately INR 22600 which is still quite lower than original price.

I know it is still higher than my planned budget however cant help going for it.

Upon using it for couple of days now I can say that its really the best !!

If anyone interested, Dyson V8 Absolute is available for about 22-24k on Flipkart if you have an ICICI bank credit card.
The discount was showing as 7k initially but became 5k when I placed the order.

Re: Cordless Vacuum Cleaner : Which one to buy?

Just bought a Dyson V12s submarine model. You can call it perfection. I bought it excited by the new submarine mopping head, but what is insane about this gadget is the fluffy head with the laser beam. All of a sudden, we realize the amount of dust particles still remaining after our robot vacuum is done with its shift. Same goes for the maid too. For home and car use, the V12s is more than enough. But now I really wanna try out the V15 which claims to have 250AW compared to the V12's 150AW. The submarine mop is also very good. Its essentially a mop, not a vacuum.(This way, cleaning it is very simple too, unlike the Tineco floor cleaners) It will easily remove a liquid spill and all but not the minute dust particles. So you have to vacuum first with the fluffy head and then mop. So, you might need to buy an extra battery if you wanna complete a 2000sq.ft house in 1 go.

When it comes to picking up fine dust, Our V10 is an absolute delight. Urge you to try this model.

Isn't V10 140 AW? The V12s is 150 AW.

Bought the Philips FC6726 and initial feedback is good. We already have a mi robo vacuum and I was very skeptical about needing to buy a cordless stick vacuum.

Turned out to be a good decision.

Amazing suction power and those leds in front are pretty useful. Did a quick run through sofas, curtains and floor using the different attachments and just amazed at the dust it picked up.

Re: Cordless Vacuum Cleaner : Which one to buy?

I just bought Dyson v8 absolute from Dyson site for 30,000. The price difference between dyson and online sites wass less. Though I would have got 5% cashback with Amazon ICICI card, fortified it for genuine product/ seamless warranty/ support when bought from Dyson site.

A person came home for demo and installed the charging wall attachment. What I like about this is the convenience of charging when the product is not in use - just put it back to the holder for charging.

The default attachments provided is good for the various use cases - floors, carpets, sofas, mattresses, corners, wall tops, sliding door rails, speakers etc. The main reason I went for Dyson cordless instead of robotic ones is that it caters to all the use cases, including vacuuming car. Mopping feature is not missed as we have a daily maid.

The suction is very good with the Max setting, which would last only 8 minuntes. The Min mode should last 30 mins it seems (claimed 40 mins) which I have not tried fully, but the suction power is just decent. It is miles better than the cheap cordless vacuum cleaner - the one I bought for 3000 from amazon is lying idle at home.

We also have a corded vacuum cleaner bought long back which is lying idle. With the ease of use, charging, storage and efficiency, Dyson seems to be a good buy which we are going to use. Hope it will serve long and justify the investment.
