Say Cheese! Sony cameras focus on smiles!

Using face-detection technology, the 8-megapixel, DSC-T70 and DSC-T200 Cyber-shot cameras won't snap a high-definition picture until a selected subject smiles.

Wow! That's a nice feature pending from long time. What took it so long?
Thanks for the link, Finney!

I guess this feature is selectable. So that a smile is not always necessary to make the camera click. Nay?

not sure of the smile part. But the face recognition and multipoint focus is a good idea as it will help the camera to focus evenly on all faces when you are shooting a group especially during weddings and get togethers.

Nikon had this feature.. I have a friend who has one Nikon model and it has a feature of autofocus on smiles.. I don't know the model number though.

But good thing Sony is catching up!
