Canon S3 IS if you are okay grey, A710 IS if you want with bill and warranty. The latter is my secondary P&S camera and does a pretty decent job.

@zenopio.... U can get Canon S3 IS for as little as 12k's if you have someone coming from US.
By the way Canon has just launched the S5 IS.... dunno the price but its an evolutionary upgrade to the S3 IS, so cant comment if its worth the extra moolah.

I am planning to get Tripod. It should be small and compact with reasonable prize.

Any suggestions ? How are Fotomate Tripods ?

Mugen, get a sturdy tripod.
I used to have a flimsy one and I used to get camera shake even on tripod if it was windy
Vivitar is a cheap option
They have 1800(Very flimsy), 2400(Medium, which I use now) and 3700(or 2400) heavy
The prices are 900rs, 1200rs and 1400rs etc.,
Take the top of the line, but if you find it heavy go for the middle end.
Stay away from the smallest one. Thats good only for P&S cameras for DSLR you need atleast the middle end model.

Small and compact isn't worth buying for a dSLR, tsk1979 already pointed that out. You need something that doesn't shake in wind, or doesn't swing like a pendulum when you release your hand from the tripod.

What is your budget? if you can stretch it, go for the Manfrotto. That will be minimum 8K though.

Thanks Samurai.

Nikon Coolpix L11 digital camera specifications: Digital Photography Review

I did went through the above link before deciding on the purchase. There both min and max shutter timing was mentioned as "unknown"

Issues with my camera
1. Blurred image (90% of shots taken)
2. Shutter timing

The sensitivity level of Nikon L11 6.0 mega pixel Camera is up to ISO 800 enables the users to get quality pictures even in low light conditions. Camera’s high sensitivity feature allows faster shutter speed in ordinary lighting conditions to capture objects in motion with greater acuity. Nikon L11 features an LCD measuring 2.4-inches across.
With the help of Nikon’s exclusive PictureProject software the users can easily perform various operations on the pictures like picture transfer, editing and sharing photos with loved ones. Install the PictureProject software via CD-ROM drive. For installing the PictureProject you should verify following System Requirements: OS Macintosh (Mac® OS X version 10.3.9, 10.4.x), Windows (Windows® Vista (32bit), Windows® XP Home Edition/Professional or Windows® 2000 Professional pre-installed models). Nikon will launch the product in February 2007.

But the above mentioned review talks a lot positive. Not sure whether I got a bad piece. Is there a possibility to overcome the shortages mentioned

Iv been using the Powershot a620 and really happy with it but time for an upgrade now... Considering the powershot S3. What do you reckon are competitors for this model (similar pricing?)

I really like RJ_styles picture quality, need to check what he's shooting with.

Flip & Twist display is a must for me
