sk456, that would count as an antique - and your parents are letting go of that ?

Is that from Canonet QL (quick loading) series?

If yes then you should be able to repair/service that with no problem. Well, if you want to.

RE:What is your camera?

Kodak DX 6490 - takes amazing macros. I like kodak for its color saturation which brings out the color esp for nature very well...

Panasonic DMC FZ30, 8M resolution and 12x optical zoom. Had a Canon 20D, sold it to buy this as I did not have any good lenses, and then, did not want to lug the lenses around any way...

Also have an older Canon Rebel (film), and a Panasonic PV-GS2, 22x Optical/800x Digital.

I've got a Sony Cyber-shot DCS-W30. Nice one.

Guys I gotta buy a Memory stick Duo but donno which is the most ideal capacity i must go for. I intend to shoot around 300 snaps per outdoor session minimum, so 256MB or 512MB???

Recently picked up a Panasonic FX01. Was a tight call between the FX01 and the Casio Z850. Panasonic won by default as the Casio was not in stock anywhere at that time!

What I love about the Cam:

28mm - 102mm: Once you get used to the wide(er) angle, there's no turning back!
Optical image stabiliser - needed for my shaky hands!
Small size
Great screen - 206K
Great battery life - about 300 shots plus viewing on the LCD from a single charge

What i don't like
Shots in less than good light are quite noisy and needs to be worked on by PS to get the best results
Not the sharpest lens out there!
Not enough manual settings.

Still getting to terms with it and figuring out how to get the best out of it with the limited settings.

Also thinking about supplementing this camera (which is my go anywhere cam) with a Canon A620, which is considerably larger in size.

Canon E3000N (I think! Will have to confirm)
Canon S80 (Just bought for younger brother)
