But say, has there been any 'Vista' features brought to XP? Like the look and feel and things like that?

Or is this just a bug fix?
There is no user experience change. All the changes are under the hood.

applied SP3 yesterday, no visible change. Changes are subtle & may be MS kept it that way due to lukewarm response for vista.

I just installed it after it was officially released in North America. Didn't notice much of a difference, but some of the websites on the interweb are claiming a 10% performance improvement.

BHPs, Does "http://www.ebay.in/itm/WINDOWS-XP-SP3-FULL-OS-BOX-PACK-/180805604339?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item2a18 da93f3" worth buying? My requirement is a genuine XP for an old laptop.

Re: Windows XP SP3 Rc version released. EDIT : Full Version now released.

Now with Win 8 on the cards, and Windows Vista and Seven I thought the XP was confined to history ages ago. Did MS not say they will not support Windows beyond over version older than the current.

If Win 7 meets the hardware spec requirements of your old Laptop then there is no point in going with old XP.

Good ol' XP is best suited for low spec PCs (especially low RAM ones)
