Received mine as well yesterday evening. Will share more detailed comments after exploring more during the weekend but here are some initial thoughts:
  • The sound levels are much lower as compared to the borrowed Roomba that I was using.
  • Also the Roomba used to dash into the wall and then make the turns - this one detects the wall and turns around smoothly.

Re: Anybody used HiTech Robotic cleaning?

Got this little cutie a couple of weeks ago and first impressions are pretty good

It has a 2-hour cleaning cycle for a 3-bedroom apartment and goes about it's task pretty diligently

It learns the house map in the first few cycles and afterwards pretty much knows where to sweep and goes about avoiding all obstacles on the floor.

Best part is the reach- it goes into nooks and crannies of the rooms which is usually not reachable through a normal vacuum cleaner

Just a small issue- one of it's brush keeps falling off after sometime of the cleaning process but, it's just a small annoyance. Also, the app is pretty easy to use to start, stop, sending it back to dock etc

Re: Anybody used HiTech Robotic cleaning?

Two days of using the Mi Robot Vac, we are satisfied customers

Have not used the Mopping function till now but the vacuuming has been very effective. The (im)patient wait was worth it.

Oh and people who have received their order, please note that the coupon for the free automatic soap dispenser will be inside your mi account. You also get a free soap can as well.

Congrats, how is the battery life. How much time does it run before it needs a recharge?

Re: Anybody used HiTech Robotic cleaning?

For a 90sq meter (as per the app) it took 100mins and drained around 70% i think. Shall keep an eye out for that next time.

Spends time going around chairs and sofas.

Thats a good buy in these days. Was wondering how much noisy it is and does it intrude in the normal functioning at home due to its noise?

Great buy nonetheless.

Re: Anybody used HiTech Robotic cleaning?

It has a few modes, silent-standard-medium-turbo. Noise level in standard mode was acceptable but i am guessing the levels would go up for medium and turbo.

Re: Anybody used HiTech Robotic cleaning?

We got our Mi Mop on Saturday as well. It works really well. I also haven't tried the mopping function yet and only in the Standard power setting of the vacuum only mode it picks up just as much dust, if not more than the maid while having access to only 70% of the area obviously due to obstacles. I'm very pleased with the purchase although for the first day I did have issues with the app as the advanced settings tab never used to load. But it's all good now.

The mop did have some issues with getting into the two main bedrooms which have parquet flooring with a strip running across the doorway so it's a bit steeper to enter vs coming out so the mop did get beached if it didn't have enough of a run-up while trying to enter. I solved this problem with some spare 1inch wood strips I had in the garage, cut them to size and stuck them to the floor so it has a bit of a ramp to get in.
Also it occasionally gets stuck and entangled in one long wooly bathmat and pushes around small light objects that don't trigger it's sensors like slippers, a decent sized but light mosquito trap and even a CO2 regulator of my aquarium.

Overall I'm happy with the purchase and it was worth the wait. We use it in the early evening daily.
How does one get the free soap dispenser gift ?

It will, but I doubt, if they'll sell again at 18 or 25K.

The pre launch price was 18K. Now it shows 25K but out of stock. I have a feeling it will remain at 25K and not go to final price of 30K.

I believe this is the only vacuum with laser mapping in this budget. The other brands are above 35K with laser mapping.
