Re: Anybody used HiTech Robotic cleaning?

So i just found out that the tank for the full mopping function is to be bought separately. Sigh, wonder when it will be available here.

Hope mi stocks it. AliExpress has it at Rs.1,500 approx but wonder when and if it will reach.

This is news to me.
There was another tank in the package for wet cleaning. I thought that was that. Haven’t tried it though. Have you checked this attachment?

Re: Anybody used HiTech Robotic cleaning?

Yeah, that's the 2-in-1 tank for vac-mop mode. Limited water storage. There exists a different tank just for water storage which would be ideal for full mop mode.

https://www.lazada.sg/products/mi-ro...942368837.html

I just tried the 2-in-1 mode for a couple of rooms today morning. Splashed some floor cleaner on the cloth before fixing it. Seems to do a really good job. Slower than conventional manual stick mopping but hey i can't complain

I just wish they would bring in the firmware update that will allow multiple maps so that i can use this for the first floor as well.

It happened to us too. We were pushing it in softly, and it would keep falling off. The brush needs to be pushed in a bit hard until it clicks.

Re: Anybody used HiTech Robotic cleaning?

Ok so I got the free soap dispenser gift but it doesn't seem to be able to suck up the liquid properly. I removed the plug on the bottle obviously. It just barely sucks up the soap. I've tried rotating the bottle to line up the nozzles properly but barely a pea sized amount comes out. The bottle rotates pretty freely except a few tight areas

We have something similar. Should you dilute the liquid a bit? Check how fresh the soap is

Mine's working just fine. My 4yr old son loves it and is always eager for a chance to wash his hands Using Duracell batteries if that makes a difference?

The liquid consistency is fine as such. It seems as though it's not creating a proper seal maybe although it doesn't look like I'm missing any O rings. It works better if I turn it upside down

Mine is working fine and I have a 4 year old who loves it as well! We have kept it out of reach for him to ensure he does not empty it in a day but he ensures we lift him up so he can get it to dispense before a hand wash:

Here is an unboxing video I made for the Soap Dispenser:

Re: Anybody used HiTech Robotic cleaning?

We also have been using the Mi Mop since December. While the cleaning was acceptable, it used to leave some spots in the default mode. Now it seems that we have learned how to use it properly.

First, we needed to change the Mop Mode to Y pattern from the default S in Mop Settings. Then, set use the mop in the Vaccum & Mop operation and Turbo mode. Fill some water, attach the wet mop extension. Bingo, it just cleans flawlessly.

One issue we face is that we need to clear the floor. It gets stuck on woolen carpets, house slippers etc.

Re: Anybody used HiTech Robotic cleaning?

Went through most of the thread and would like the advice of experienced members of the best robot cleaner for an apartment that is 4800 sq feet carpet/6000 sq feet built up. Is Roomba 976 the best option for effective cleaning - corners, under the beds, under side tables, behind doors. Also does the robot have to be programmed by us or does it figure its way around after a few days?

Hi All,

After reading the experience of yours, I am tempted to buy the Mi Vacuum Mop as well. I have few queries, which I am hoping you can help me with.
  1. What are the different consumables required to maintain the robot. Trying to arrive at the running cost for say next one year.
  2. How is the availability of these consumables.
  3. Does the robot pickup long human hairs (say 1ft/2ft long ones) as well. Or its recommended to sweep the floor by broom manually and then use this robot.
Thanks
