Under Rs.10K smart phone - Inputs please

Guys,
I have question that probably many others also have. What are the options if one is looking for under 10K pda phone? I found few on rediff (
iMate JAMA,HTC-s 310 etc)but not convinced after reading the reviews for the same.

Few of the features that I am looking for :
1. Good reception.
2. Good battery life.
3. Basic camera for still/video.
4. Good connectivity options (EDGE?, GPRS, WIFI?, Bluetooth?)
5. Basic PDA functionality.

Looking forward for any useful information.

I don't know much about smart phones but there's HP IPAQ 512 which is also around 10k.
AFAIK u would need to shell out around 15k minimum for a good smart phone.

best thoughts go for HTC phones as they are the mother company for all smart phones . i.e they supply pda phones to all companies to o2, imate ..

HTC issues law suite

While looking for HTC phones found this law suite filed for issues with most of its latest phone! HTCClassAction.org - Because HTC dropped the ball, and it's about time they pick it up!

This covers Touch, Touch Cruise and all their latest phones. Little worried to buy any of these costly gadgets now, especially in India!

Get E51, it has all the connectivity options that one would need (in a phone guys) and a basic camera w/ video thrown in as well all for 12.5K. It is 2.5K more than your budget, but it is damn VFM model, I bet.

You'll get all the above except #5 in Nokia's recent model E51, though you may have to stretch your budget by 1k.

Please read through the full page, it does NOT cover the Touch (as sold in India, only the US specific one), only handsets running specific Qualcomm chips.

Finally I bought SE P1i

After evaluating most of the business phones, I setelled for Sony Ericson P1i. Though the price was bit high (19.5 K), it beats most of the phone both by usability and looks wise.

It has a touch screen, extended keypad, WLAN, 3G any thing you can ask for.
