Just updated to IOS 16.2.
Checked the status of the Airtel eSIM on Airtel thanks app and it says the phone /handset and software is 5G enabled. However I am not getting 5G signal in Mumbai which is 5G enabled city. So called up Airtel call center and they confirmed that Airtel has just rolled out 5G and not started the full service to Airtel users. This will happen sometime in end December 2022.

Normally when Apple launch an ever-present Android feature as a 'brand-new feature on iPhone', they really perfect it to make it their own. But I felt the Always-on implementation on the 14 Pro/Pro Max was a flawed one. It was so distracting that I had turned it off. But with the latest 16.2 update, they have made the much needed correction - the Always-on can be now set with/without wallpaper and notifications.

Upgraded my IP12Mini to 16.2. City is not 5G enabled as of now but Airtel app shows my phone lacks 5G software even after upgrading. While 5G options are available in mobile data settings.

Noticing a bug in iOS16.2- the address bar in safari often goes missing. Have been experiencing only after upgrading to 16.2. Anyone facing the same?

Guys I am on iPhone 13 mini with an Airtel sim which I got very recently. But I can’t see the 5G option anywhere in the settings (mobile data). Is anyone else facing the same issue ?

1. Hope the city you are in has 5G service of Airtel
2. Hope you have upgraded iOS to 16.2
3. Go to Settings > Mobile Data > SIMs > Select the active SIM > Voice & Data - In here you will see 5G, 5G Auto as options

Lastly, need to check if SIM is 5G compatible. All4G SIMs can handle 5G, but the 3G would not be able to as per Airtel executive

Updated to IOS 16.2 yesterday (12 mini). No issues in Safari, everything works normal.

Upgraded to 16.2 on my 11, no issues with Safari or otherwise.

Upgraded to 16.2 today morning on my 14 Plus. No problems. Safari works just fine.

I am waiting until the iPhone 15 is launched. The main things I want are the Type C USB charger port which will become the new norm because of EU Regs. This will help a lot since one can interchangeably use the chargers across devices instead of carrying multiple chargers. And those 48mp or higher, camera on the Pro versions - the difference in image quality and resolution between the 12mp camera on my iPhone 12Pro Max and the 48mp camera on the iPhone 14Pro Max is significant.

I had the same issue. Just delete the app and download again. Should solve the issue.

I don’t think data plan will work. You must have 239 and above mobile/cellular plan active. Data plan is normally top up/add on if I understand you correctly.
If your current mobile plan is less than 239, you will have to wait until it expires. You will get invite only after you have 239 mobile plan active. After activation, keep checking jio app daily. Invite roll out is random and there is no manual way to get it for now.

In Mumbai on Airtel and I got 5G intermittently at my residence in Dadar East,Naigaon and also at some places on the Eastern Freeway, on my way to office in Govandi.
