Primary reason for my switch from iphone 13 is bigger screen and bigger battery on the plus model. Otherwise 13 is working absolutely fine. I will advice you to get the iCloud membership for 50gb. Makes life easier. Also check out Apple ONE if you need Apple Tv and Apple Music as well along with iCloud 50gb. I pay around 195 every month for Apple One which includes all 3 of these.

iCloud subscription sounds good. Check the trade-in value of your 13. Apple Store usually gives the best deal in such cases. But this will require you to visit the store.

Move to iOS only transfers the primary personal Whatsapp chats.
I had (still have) Samsung S10. It has 2 physical sim slots (hybrid like most Samsung phones). The One UI has the option to configure a few social media applications for both the Sims. For example, there are 2 Whatsapps on my phone, one Whatsapp is tied to Sim1 mobile number and other to Sim2.
The storage space has a branch as "Dual app" which has a cloned setup as I explained earlier.
Let me put some screen shots for your understanding. (sorry for the bad picture quality as I just clicked with an old OP6)

Update:
They didn’t come yesterday for the pickup citing busy schedule and came today. My wife’s phone was Nord CE2 and it was in an immaculate condition. Their app quoted 11300, but the pickup guy gave 10500 saying reasons like their dealer margin is low etc, and finally agreed upon 11000 and immediately transferred to my UPI. The guy was polite and not forced upon anything and the overall experience is good.

They have shared the purchase invoice with details like IMEI, amount and actual dealer details. We can keep that as a proof if any illegal activities done from that IMEI in future.

iOS does not support dual apps. I use WhatsApp for Business for my second number. It does the job.

If you want to retain the old chats, keep the whatsapp account in your Android phone and use the iPhone as a linked device.

Both my Whatsapp numbers are configured in iPhone and Android as linked devices.

Haha, no thank you. I already carry my business phone and my personal phone, I won't carry a third one.

My point here is to identify flaws that still exists for people who wants to migrate from Android to iOS and also to somewhat do a reality check on "Move to iOS" over hyped experience or rather mediocrity of the same. It is not my intention to demean any system or environment. Every system has its own characteristics and every user has his/her priorities. It is just "what you get" vs "what you'd loose". So anyone like me who wants to move to iOS from Android should get prepared well.
I have moved from Android to iOS after 13 years of constant Android use (since Gingerbread era). My wife uses iOS for sometime. I thought I was prepared for the move and lo and behold I too faced some brick walls.

As I keep on using Apple devices, I'll keep on posting my experiences, both good and bottlenecks of course.

Coming back to Goods, I got a taste of Eco-system. I also got a iPad 9th gen (wifi edition) along with my iPhone and the sync was kind of invisible. I mean, I didn't realize that the devices are in sync till I get my SMSes and Calls on my iPad also. Magic I would say.

You don't need to carry. I leave my Android phone at home unless am travelling long distance when the phone will be in the backpack. The messages sync to both devices so I can read it in the phone I have in hand.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Two WhatsApp accounts on the same device will soon be possible apparently. This is not using dual apps or WhatsApp Business, but a built in feature natively in the app itself. This should come to iOS in time too:

Link to an X thread about it.

+1

After three years on iOS v. 10 on Android, I seriously miss the Truecaller’s capabilities that I had gotten used to in Android. There is a recent rise in donation related spam/ scam calls and I have to figure out myself whether to pick an unknown caller or disconnect.

The privacy aspect of iOS (Apple keeps and uses the data themselves and not all the other apps and developers) is what brought and has kept me with iOS/ Apple.

Good Morning Friends

I am facing a peculiar issue with my i Phone 12 as it is not getting charged wirelessly in my XUV 700. I tried with a friends i phone 14 and it was being charged. Even Android phones are getting charged. So charger is not at fault here. I have updated software and currently on ios 17. Pls advise.

I faced a similar issue with Tata Nexon once. My friends android was getting charged, while my iphone was not. I did not have another iphone to double check.

Ultimately, it turned out to be a loose connection in the charger itself which was the culprit. Is your phone getting charged by some other wireless charger?

By any chance, do you have a case on? If yes, try once after removing it

Re: The iPhone Thread

iOS 17.1 stable update is out.

Updated my 12 Pro and 13 now. Let’s see if any effects on the performance.

P.s. All the updates these days are heavily focused on the 14 pro and above series’ phones, so not sure if any visible changes to the series below those. As always, hoping though that the battery doesn’t deplete faster.
