Get it changed in BKC ( if you intend to travel back) , however those rings seem to be flushed with the Glass and not a separate fixture as suggested by the BKC store. Go to some independent guy and see what he has to say. If he confirms that ring can be changed, complaint to Apple online stating that Saket store is giving wrong information, etc etc.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Anyone having any experience with changing their iPhone charging ports? Both my 14 Pro Max and son’s 13 ports are not registering charging cables unless at a specific positioning.

Very irritating as the phone can’t be used while charging and it frequently quietly stops at the slightest tremor.

Experienced the exact same thing on my iphone 12. found the reason was blockage inside the port. took a toothpick, dipped it in alcohol/ nail polish remover and gently ( read very gently) cleaned the port. Found a lot of lint coming out. So when we put our phone in the pockets with charging port facing down, small lint particles gently accumulate over a period of time blocking some space inside the port.

Phone is charging seamlessly since then.

Re: The iPhone Thread

My phone has developed a new bug that everytime I open the YouTube app, apple music starts playing random songs from my playlists. Has anyone here faced it and found any solution for it.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I received a notification stating "AT&T is requesting esim activation" on my 15 pro max. I am here in Bangalore with Jio services. Not sure how this notification reached my phone. Is this a case of incorrect IMEI provided for activation by someone probably in the US? The phone was purchased from UAE.

Re: The iPhone Thread

My iPhone 16 Promax Battery life after exactly 4-months and 94 Battery Cycles is 100%.

So far, So good.

Looks like my previous iPhone 15 Promax was a lemon/dud.

Good to hear that you are enjoying your 16 Pro Max.

Even after a year of its purchase (bought in the end of March 2024), my iPhone 15 Pro Max battery health is now at 95% and 250+ cycles.

So far so good and was surprised to see that my battery life still gives 1-1.5 days even though my usage is moderate and screen time is around 4 hours a day on an average.

15 Pro - 1 year 3 months, 317 cycles, 95%. It remained at 100% for almosta year and that 5% degradation happened in about 3 months.

I charge to 80% limit and the phone manages to last 24 hours when it starts to hit 20%.

Not bad so far, and I plan to upgrade when the 17 slim arrives.

You both are getting good battery life. Let's see how long my 100% lasts.

Biggest change for me is to stop thinking about the battery life and I charge when I want, I take it off the hook when I want.

I feel liberated.

That's the best way. Honestly, I don't even check battery stats. Only when a big ios update arrives then I do it. I think 15 Plus got the best battery life in the 15 line up. I don't follow any battery tips except for Optimized battery charging. Put it on charge when I sleep at night and sometimes do charge by car charger in day time. For reference this is the current battery state-

I don't check over these stats. It frets us only because it is an absolute measurable percent but that degradation is normal with use.

Just a small practice that I follow is that I generally plug to charge my phones at night and I use a timer plug which sets on at 4 AM and turns off by 6:30 AM. That way it is never plugged in for long and I get 100% charge when I wake up. But I guess the 'optimized battery charging' feature would take care of it if that is ones routine to plug in the phone for a full night.

Haven't you reduced usage of phone while charging?

Mine's a 16 pro with 94 cycle count at 100% (I use a 5W slow charger (95% charging limited).

I'm currently at a magic number of 100% charge limit with 100 cycles completed.

I use the Anker 20W fast charger and like I mentioned, I don't give a darn about when I remove it and when I plug it.

Seems to work for this phone..

My goodness! How much time does it take for you to charge the phone from say 25% to even 80%?

My 18w charger itself takes close to an hour to hit 80%.
