^^ From what i read around the net, this is what 4.2.1 has:
  • Airtunes - allows iTunes 10 and iOS devices running iOS 4.2 to stream video to a TV via the new Apple TV.
  • AirPrint - lets iOS devices print directly and wirelessly to a handful of HP ePrint printers
  • Fixes intermittent Wi-Fi issues
  • Fixes VoIP issues
  • Fixes Car Stereo "music skip" issues

This update is mainly for Ipad. Now Ipad gets mutlitasking.

in btwn Iphone is not available for online purchase in Hong Kong. This has been done to reduce the Arbitrage Opportunities present there. I heard that people have to shell out 20-50% more just to get the Iphone immediately.

So had to shift the purchase to Singapore where the delivery time reduced to 1 week. I should have mine by the first week of December.

But seriously when are they going to launch in India?

I use Total Video Converter on my pc.
Thanks Ace for your reply.

I tried with two softwares.

1. OJOSoft HD Video Converter
2. Leawo mp4 Converter.

In both, it takes the old iphone 3g and 3gs resolution of 640x480. it doesn't look too good on iphone 4. It doesn't utilize the full screen.

How it is in Total Video? Does it have a preset of 960x640 which is what iphone 4 has.

For iPhone 4, have access to Find my mobile free through Mobile me. Got some new SMS tones apart from already mentioned. Some 624 MB, that was the only killer.

iPad it was totally worth the 550 MB download!

Better have free unlimited downloads if you have apple in your house

The other apps on my iPhone 4 are:
1. VLC player: Free: Excellent app. plays virtually any video format
2. iMovie: Paid: Great app for creating movies
3. Emoji free: A good app to add emoticons
4. PDF reader: Both free and paid available: Both are very useful
5. Facebook, sype and twitter: free
6. iBooks: Great book app. Many free full books available
7. MotionX GPS: Both free/paid: Excellent GPS application. You can send your c-ordinates to 4 email ids and also store many waypoints. Needs GPRS
8. Everytrail: Both free/paid: Very useful if you are into LD tours/ riding/ travelling: You can make a GPS trail of your journey, upload it and send it to your preferred mail ids
9. My Diary: Paid: Great app, Password protected and useful if you have the habit of maintaining a diary/log
10. Torch: Free: Very useful
11. Games like: Virtual pool (both free/paid), FF Adrenaline. Dots. Touch hockey, Shrek karting, Moto Gp etc. Load of free games available
No, it doesnot require any data connection.
you just need to be outdoors,so that the handset can communicate with the Satellites.

+1, buddy. Same problem as yours. Hopefully they'll come up with something soon. The last update said shortly after the release of iOS 4.2. So let's wait and watch.

is the way to go, looks like... Anyways, I hope they'll finally stop all this carrier lock nonsense soon enough, now that they've started retailing unlocked ones in some countries.

Is it already shipped or not. Read some reviews that online orders were cancelled. So do check the status.

Does that mean that if you physically visit the Apple store in HK, the chances of finding a phone off the shelf are good? Or is there a genuine shortage all over HK? I have been wanting to place an order online but the option doesn't currently exist.
