Haven t upgraded it to 4.3.3 as I have not read whats included in this new version.

Yet to explore the complete benefits of jailbraking, so will do a thorough read before JBing it.

@woof- They dont sell Unlocked but they do offer to unlock it for an additional sum which I think is around $180

Scroll down and you can see the Modem firmware. This is your base band.

Jailbreak for iOS 4.3.3 is available now. If you want to enhance your phone for missing features, you can do it.

US doesnt sell factory unlocked. I saw a few in a mall in Vegas. But the seller looked shady and was pushy, so let it go.

Few queries

1 - I have Iphone JB & UL 3GS running 4.2.1 with 6.15 baseband; Can I upgrade to 4.3.3 safely? I checked Limera1n and iclarified have tutorials but just reluctant to take the final step. I do the JB & UL myself btw. Have done it for many of my friends as well but just the initial reluctance.

2 - Any way to send sms at a later date/time in iphone? This feature was available in the Nokia 1600 that I used long time ago.

3 - iphone 4 baseband 4.10 cannot be unlocked is it? Im planning to upgrade. Hence the doubt.

Thanks a lot, will check once am at home, could you list the missing features? I know the 3G had lots of basic functionality missing which the Jailbraking provided but am not aware of any major missing features on the iOS 4.3.X

@mail4ajo - I got a brand new unopened piece for $475 from a guy on craigslist, yes I am getting the full Apple warranty too

Gopz, what the pricing from Airtel/Aircel? 38Kish am guessing. Are they going to come with plans like the US. But for 10k INR and pay a higher rental for 2 years?

Yours is factory unlocked? If not, you have to wait.
BiteSMS can schedule your SMS.
JB is no painstaking job nowadays. I used the redsn0w.

No idea about the pricing. But rumours that it's going to be 35k for 16gb and will be launched 25th or 27th this month

Hi guys,

After hearing a lot about the iPhone from my friends, I finally took a chance and bought a used 16 GB iPhone 3GS. Now the reason I bought used phone was simply to try it out as if I liked it, I would probably take the plunge and buy the iPhone 5 due in September. I am not a fan of touch screen phones but since there were rave reviews about the iPhone I decided to give it a try.

I have now used the phone for about a week and I must say that I am truly disappointed with it. I also use the Blackberry 9780 (Bold 3) as my primary phone and bought the iPhone 3GS as my secondary phone. It was disappointing to see that other than the difficulty to type on the iPhone's touch screen which is a cake walk on the Bold 3's QWERTY keypad, the iPhone 3GS is no where near the emailing capabilities of the Bold 3.

But what has really put me off with regards to the iPhone is the pathetic battery life!!! My calls and email usage alone drains the battery in a day. The Bold 3 lasts for full 2 days with similar usage is not more.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem with the iPhone? Is it a problem with the phone on the whole or just the battery problem? The iPhone is definitely not worth the hype and is truly a fashion accessory more than a useful gadget.
