Re: The iPhone Thread

I have upgraded my iPhone 4 to IOS 7.0 Beta 1

Here is my take:

- It looks like a tadka of Windows 8 & Android
- Beta version as expected is full of bugs and iPhone crashes out.
- What i liked is the must have been brought in this new version like turning on/off WiFi, Bluetooth etc.
- Not quite an innovation if i look at what they have come out with.
- Interesting bit 3D effect is not available for iPhone 4 also not available is dynamic wallpapers(Live Wallpapers), No Panoramic photo shots possible. Although all these are available for iPhone 4S onwards.

Here is how the main screen looks like.

This is how the control console looks like when one flicks his finger from bottom of screen to top.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I have been facing a strange issue. Sometimes, I am unable to switch on my cellular data. Its slides, but I dont get the E or 3G symbol on top. Fixes when I reboot.

I face this regularly with Airtel. The solution I got from customer care is to reboot. The toggling of mobile data in the settings does not help in any way!

Even i face this sometimes with Vodafone. I just switch on the flight mode and switch it off. It generally solve the issue.

I guess it'll only come with the launch of a new iPhone, which itself is not certain till now, but as per the rumours it'll be out by Sept.

Just that I want to update it to iOS 5! Any Idea how I can do that; don't want to upgrade it to 6!

Cheers again

Sorry for the delayed response. Wasnt online.

As for updating to iOS 5! i am surprised that your iTunes hasn't forced you to upgrade to iOS 6. Either ways, its difficult for you to update to any jailbreakable since you do not have SHSH. Google it and you should be able to get more information.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I somehow managed to misplace my iPhone 4 cube adapter and ordered this from eBay.

Works like a charm for the price. Recommended.

I used IMZDL website to download the beta 1 of IOS 7.0. You need to pay a fee so that your UDID gets registered ( ₹ 500 approx)

Another update I just updated to beta 2 which is much more stable than beta 1.

Yes indeed just restore back to a previous version. So ensure you do a back up on your authorized computer and not just on cloud(if you back up your contents on cloud).

Beta 2 seems to be good for all apps except Google apps which are crashing frequently.

Sorry checked your edited message just now. Yes it's one time payment and you are entitled for all the beta releases which gets pushed automatically.
