So, it is now goodbye to the current UI with iOS7?
Almost all news have already been leaked by suppliers or either by assemblers. I feel that, this would be one boring launch.

IOS 7 isnt great either. as per previews. Lets wait and see the complete launch.

Apple is renowned to surprise. Alright Tim, Lets see what you got....

Apple !! Please surprise us. Would you?

With Samsung going full blast ahead, it would be suicidal if Apple does not pull out a rabbit from their hat.

Also hope the pricing for 5C(heap) is actually sane.

Fingers crossed.

Re: The iPhone Thread

5C Pricing 16GB @ 99$ , 32GB @ 199$; color casing 20$ (and they have multiple colors now).

Metal casing which also does work as the antenna.

LTE support best in class.

The finger print scanner not only cements iPhone place at corporates but also opens up a host of possibilities, namely the yet-to-take-off tap-pay using your hand set. You cannot get better secure system.

People should have seen this coming when Apple brought a company which was into this technology some time back.

Good move.

Re: The iPhone Thread

iOS 7 coming this September. Hopefully we can expect it at the same time in India too. iPhone 5c and 5s expected in India only by October or later whereas it available in 9 countries from September 20th itself.
5c specs are the same as current iphone 5 albeit with a better front facing camera and it comes in different colors and made of plastic!
5s has a much better camera with dual flash, much faster processor(A7), better battery life, slo-mo video recording, DSLR-type auto focus and finger print scanner (cool!!)
Apple page updated. Link: http://www.apple.com

Game changed just because of 64 bit computing. However, Intel is bringing the big gun to Apple's head with sub $100 tablet.

I think 5S is value for money and new benchmark. I speak technically there is nothing close. New era of Apps is upon us.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Hi guys,
I have a question.
I bought an unlocked imported iphone 5 for 35000 in feb.
Since it is discontinued, what would be its expected resale value after an year or so? will it take a plunge????
Should i sell it off right now to minimize any further loss?

Re: The iPhone Thread

Another news is that iPhone 5 has been retired. Unlike previous occasions, Apple has decided to put iPhone 5 under the knife rather than sell it at lower price.

OS updates are usually a global launch, we should get the update at the same minute as the rest of world!

I think this was coming, if you look at it - Apple struggled to get the cost of manufacturing of iPhone 5 lower. iPhone 5C is almost the iPhone 5

Personally, I love the addition of the side-kick proc - M7 Co-Processor. This is quite an innovative way to save battery (like reduce network pinging when stationary for a while) and better end-user orientation. It can tell if you are walking, running or driving and this should enable some Apps like Maps to automatically switch navigation to suit the current users move. Quite Amazing.

The iPhone was always personal, this is taking it to a new level. Love it.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I guess the unlocked prices for the Iphone 5C will be around the 36K region or higher in India for the base 16GB version. Not all that "cheap" I would say. In a way am happy that it is still out of bounds for most of the average mobile phone user in India. That way, the exclusivity unique to Apple should remain quite intact.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Absolutely love the new 5S. Unlike Korean's who play on specs, Apple plays on overall experience of the product.

Apple should have just lowered the cost of Iphone 5(cost of manufacture is around 250 something for the Iphone 5) and sold it for 549$ cause the body of the Iphone 5C is just gonna feel like holding a S3, the feel of the Aluminium body is richer IMO
