I bought one around a year ago from the Indigo Airline while flying somewhere. Its called Portronics.
Can charge two devices at a time.
Decent machine.
Small and Portable and quite aesthetic to look at too.
Around Rs 2000/-

I would suggest going for something like this http://www.mophie.com/shop/iphone-4s...ir-iphone-4s-4

Doubles the back up and will charge the OE battery along with the external one and offers great protection to the phone.

I would second the recommendation by Jaggu. Mophie Juice Pack is the defacto option offered in Apple stores across the globe as a addon battery pack. They compliment the phone and is very good. A personal experience of using it with the 4S was good. Only turn off could be the price.

Bought a 5c today... Feels so much better to hold than the 5 and the 5s.

Hello folks!
I'm planning to buy iphone5s. But recently I read about the excise duty on mobile phones to be reduced to 6%. So, any chance of the price coming down a bit? Is it wise to wait for 2-3 days?

Re: The iPhone Thread

Hi All,

I have just bought iPhone 5s 16 GB Space Gray from The Mobile Store, Chennai for Rs. 48K and iPad Mini Retina Display 32 GB for 28K (Combo Offer)
As an iPhone 4 user for last 3+ years, This handset is remarkably speed and TouchID is really cool.
But not handy as iPhone4.
I have updated with iOS 7.0.5 (Hope, it fixes some network issues, But apple site states, it's applicable to China only) I thought it includes handset manufactured in China.

Highly recommended and cheaper than the stuff sold at the Apple stores. They also have a smaller version, but this 5000 mAh piece can charge twice.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Team. How much savings can be made on i-phone 5s if bought from US via apple's employee discount? How much is the retail price in India?

I would advise you to buy in India as purchase outside India is not covered by warranty in India.

True, I bought my iPhone4 in France from an Apple Store paying full price & all authorized Apple service centers in India refuse to service my phone.

I have broken my screen twice & dropped in water once - it was repaired by Fine mobile services at Irla - they do a superb job with 'genuine' Apple spares. I am sure every major city has a similar non-Apple authorized service provider.

True, Gsurya. But for certain other reasons covered under warranty, it is still worth buying in India to have warranty cover.
